I have a good used opening cable you can have for $15 shipped to you. The opening cable is the one that has the plate on it for securing both cables at the grip. Other than that plate and the part numbers, the 2 cables are identical. Use a cutoff wheel to remove the plate and whalaah!

:hello: I bought 2 of them. Since my bars are shorter than the stock ones I'm hoping that they won't be to short. I can always sell them if need be.

Works great! Adjustment was a little wierd with this adjustment in the middle? I left it all the way in and used the ends to adjust it right. Now to get another for the opening before it breaks.

:hello: I got my 2 ZL 9 throttle cables in the mail a few days ago. They are made in Taiwan for S.P.I Sports Parts INC. They measure 3 inchs shorter than the ZL 1000 Motion Pro cables which I bought 6 years ago for $85 shipped for the set. All the fitting ends are the same for both the ZL 9 & ZL 10. I called Motion Pro about a year ago to get another set made. They told me that they no longer had the fitting for ZL 10 cables and to send my old cables so that they can use the fitting from them. Cost $200. :angryfire:. I got both S.P.I. cables from E-bay for $25 shipped. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Kawasaki-Z...222953&hash=item3d3e493c40:g:xrgAAOSwDV5dAVud IMG_8055.JPG IMG_8056.JPG IMG_8057.JPG IMG_8058.JPG IMG_8059.JPG

:hello: When I removed the throttle cable stay/bracket I put it in my vice and spread the notch just far enough to get it off the cable using a flat blade screwdriver.

Looking @ my measurements I guess R.J your 42 and 45 inch lengths for the ZL900 & ZL 1000 respectively are inner cable lengths why does the tape highlight 16 & 32 inches?

prfixer okay thanks! All over the World?

RJ when you wind in the adjusters, how many more inches is the Inner cable in length?

    Cheers!

:hello: They are all the way in but that doesn't matter because I measured them from ferrule to ferrule. The measurements that I posted are on another thread. You keep talking about inner and outer cables. The ZL 9 & 10 both cables are the same length for each bike.

:hello: I remeasured my 2 sets of throttle cables from the center of one ferrule to the other ferrule. ZL 900 is 42 " and the ZL 1000 are 45 " + or - a 1/4 inch. These measurements include both bends at the end of each cable. How I came up with the measurements is I used a string taping it to the cable as I went every 6 inches or so making sure that the string was tight.
