Finally back on after my hit and run

If any of you remember back in April I got nailed on my Eli in a hit and run. original thread here http://www.eliminator-us.org/kforums/viewtopic.php?t=1035&highlight=

anyway....i got the bike back on Wednesday finally. All told it got:
new right shock
used spedo
used tach
new blinkers (all of them)
new muffler
new clutch cover
new grips
new front levers
used start/run switch housing
new starter
new rear tire
paint on tank, side covers, fenders
new front fender
new fuse box
new battery
used mirrors
new rear brake pedal
used headlight bucket
new headlight

I think thats about it.....anyway. I have gotten 80 miles on it despite freezing temps just because I wanted to be on it again. the sleet and ice thursday and friday were too much for any riding though.

Today it broke down on me.....so back to the shop again. It sputtered out like it had no fuel.....then died. it did this a total of 3 times and i had to wait better than 30 minutes to get her to re-crank.....she was sputtering and bucking a bit on me....and is very underpowered. she feels about like a worn out Honda CM400 right now to give reference of how underpowered she feels.

anyway, I will try to keep you guys updated.

Thanks for the update Matt. Let us know what the solution is.

Did you heal back to 100%?

well.....I've been told I never was 100%. But i got back to whatever I was. The collar bone looks a bit funny, but doesnt give me any problems. the insurance company belted out $3,400 to fix the bike, and a little over $10,000 for my medical bills, lost wages, and just the fact that it sucks to get hurt. overall I am more than pleased with the outcome on the insurance side.....i just wish the shop that i got the work done in was more competent. it shouldnt take 7 1/2 months to fix a bike.....and then it not be right.

I am new to the ZL world so I will be asking alot of dumb ars questions.

Heres one for you, would the valve adjustment be the same for the ZL900 as the Ninja both 1985?

and how often should you do a valve adjustment on these bikes?

Thanks Steve :pale:
