ZL900 Stock exhaust for sale

I may be selling my stock exhaust this winter...see classifieds
 
it's about time i got the valves done on my 750 (i can hear a slight ticking on the over-run)

Haven't got the facilites to do it myself so how long should it take for a decent mechanic to check and set them, thinking of estimating labour charges.

I'm guessing i can do my 900 in 4 hrs. I've had it apart but i did timing chain and guides too, so it took longer.
 
Valve clearances on ZL900?

Hi all:

I want to check/adjust the valves on my 1985 ZL900. FYI, I'm using the Dale Walker Holeshot Stage 1 kit, and use "Engine Ice" coolant.

I've seen some very well-informed answers on this subject, and hopefully you folks can help me here...

The service manual for the bike (actually the service manual for the GPz900R, which is the "Base Manual" for the ZL900), states in the "Valve Clearance (when cold)" segment on page 4-19, that "Inlet: 0.13-0.18 mm" and that "Exhaust : 0.18-0.23 mm".

So, assuming that all parts invloved are in tip-top, brand new shape, what are the ideal clearances to be set? (Also, FYI, I am in Phoenix, Arizona, where the weather in the summer is extremely hot, so that the coolest-running scenario is the most wise.)
