For the ZL6'ers

Question.

Anyone with the 600 running with Plugs with caps?

PepBoys sells 7mm wires with wire and not carbon dust. But the ends are for resistor capped plugs.

Is there any difference running with the caps on?
 
If you are refering to the screw on nipple for the spark plug as a cap, no there is no difference. Just screw them on tight and it helps to lightly crimp them so they won't come unscrewed. You could also use the wire and get new NGK ends from the dealer. They do wear out as I had sparks shooting out the sides of mine, what do you expect after 19 years!
 
Thanks I want to put on regular wires hard to find them with resisterless caps.

Kaw only sells the wires for the Eli With the COILS at 150.00 per that is 300.00 or 29.00 for regular wires.

I just got another set of coils off EBAY for 10 bucks. Along with the Final drive "pumkin" for 15 bucks. The coils came without screw tops or wires. Mine are fine but an extra set for 10 bucks ain't bad either. They tested fine.

And the final drive is in excellent condition. The guy even cleaned and oiled the thing. Won't ever need it probably but couldn't pass up the price.
 
You definately won't need it.....I've had shaft drive Kawasaki's of all shapes and sizes (wouldn't have anything else now :D ) for more years than I care to remember and have NEVER had a problem with either the shaft or the final drive. In fact I can't remember the last time I remembered to even change the oil in one :oops:

Yeah Krazy but a Drive shaft for 5 bucks.... I just couldn't let it go.

And final drive for 15.00 too good a deal over 2800.00 in parts.

I didn't need the coils either but hey they were cheap.

A neighbor had a bucke seat for a Chevelle I had a sold it for 10 bucks. I didn't need that either. Never did use it.

There are a lot of things I don't need. I didn't think I would need a front rim on my Softail either until some idiot ran into it.

Ya just never know.

Its me again, just looked at the link and thought a little guidance may help !
Click on the left hand side where it says MODELL.
That will open up another window which has MOTORRADMARKE near the top. You can select KAWASAKI here.
Then you can type in MODELLCODE eg ZL1000.
Hope this helps someone :D
