1. Guest,
We need good tech writers that are willing to help out here at ZL-OA. If you like taking photos of jobs as you perform the steps on your repairs, have historical ads/documents from old magazines, or any else you think belongs in the Technical Library than you might be able to help. Send a private message to Furchin, Mudrunner88, Chris, Jarney, Wuputt, or Markus56 and we can lead you in the right direction to get started.

What are these? Is this something worth posting in the for sale section? I have them in a box of misc NOS parts I'd accumulated over the years.
    thanks!

That's possible - we did that early on ourselves before we found our mechanic, so we might have ordered these. Thank you!

They are speed bleeders.....they allow you to bleed your brakes by yourself without assistance.

Looks generic with no loop on the cap. Do SAE and metric brakes both use the same thread?

@ Ed, Speed bleeders come with their own cap, so no rubber loop. The thread pitch is 7mm x 1.0. Can't say what SAE is 'cause I don't know.

As far as I know, all the OEM Jap caps should have a loop on them so it didn't seem like a "for sure" fit on a metric bike. Cars have bigger calipers but I don't know if any use tethered caps.
