Carrying extra fuel

I know that its the age old question but here goes anyway.

In the past I have carried extra fuel in a fuel can stuffed inside my throwover panniers, but it makes your clothes stink if it leaks and I'm not convinced its the safest method in the world.

Without going to the extremes of changing the tank or modifying the original, how do you guys address the fuel problem when the gas stations are too many miles apart?
Any suggestions for carrying extra juice (preferably safer suggestions than mine)

I`ve seen aux.tanks on dirt bikes that attach to the crossbar.
you may be able to adapt one of those with some sort of
quick release to remove it once you get where you`re going.
I was thinking of riding mine to Fla. for biketoberfest but it`s
1,400 mi. away and that`s a lot of stops for fuel. :lol:
 
i fixed it.

Looks cool, reminds me of the x-4.

it's definetly not a luxury tourer like the victory
 
Wow....Cool looking bike, well, leave it to the Honda Guys to take a Goldwing and smoosh it down to look like that....I do like it, though...

Not bad, I kinda like the stratosphere as well. Inline sixes are legendary for torque potential. I'm not sure the honda is a golwing derivative though, as it appears to have either a vtwin or v four engine as oppossed to the GL's flat six.

I like it. doesnt seem like a two-up machine. and I question the choice of engine also big honda inline 4! a 200+ rear tire would look better also this thing a concept? or will it be on showrooms soon?

When me and Mrs KK are out for rides and see the Goldwing posers club, I get her to go accross and say, (in a nice dumass woman sort of way) "thats a nice scooter"................... and watch their faces :rotf:

It would be the same here when I see the Honda Steeds 400 and 600 cc models and the Thais saying these are "CHOPPERS" but then they say the same when they see a Honda Phantom or a Kawasaki boss 150cc bikes. :nonono:
