Does any one see the need to maybe add one of these to the sight? And is it a big hassle to do? Just a thought for you Elimiboss.

I see your point and I can also tell from some of the members that have only got one post that they obviously just came here to dump some parts. I guess that there are only like five of us and we can just talk and ask in a Thursday night chat. Later Rocky I gotta go to work.

I did at one point have a classified page up but with no real input.... plus it had a few programming issues. I plan on relaunching it as soon as I get the bugs out however it may be a while since this is the Christmas Season and I do work in retail....
 
Busy, Busy, Busy. We are extra busy at work too with printing and all and it was just a thought. With only five of us really not sure if it is nessacary.

I have tons of Eli parts, so of course I think a classified page would be neat. Even though there are not alot of posts, there are many more views.

Zl1000 rebuild details

8) As you can see by the pictures, I am totaly rebuilding my Zl1000 Eliminator.
I have already fitted the Gsxr11 front end including moving lock stops and steering lock.
The rear wheel is also Gsxr11 with cushdrive machined out and drive plate fabricated to fit, no cushdrive tho.
I have also used the Gsxr11 underslung rear brake caliper and mount, not sure how I will mount torque bar for brake caliper yet. I'm also thinking about bracing the swingarm. Have fitted a set of ohlins rear shockers off a ZR1100 (Zepher).
'm still buying parts so dont quite know what it will look like when its finished.
:wink: I have already bought Wiseco 1037 hi compression pstons and a GPz900 cylinder head and cams for the engine rebuild.

Well thats about all the information i can give you at the moment. I will keep posting pictures of the different stages of the rebuild.

How did you fit the USD tubes to the steering clamps/ triple tree
 
Gixer USD's

Fitting the Usd forks was easy. Get a front end including yokes (triple trees) take the bottom yoke to a machine shop and have them press out the Gixer steering stem and measure the ZL stem and machine one up to fit the Gixer yoke. Fit ZL bearings and fit front end to bike. Sorry have no pictures of this to help you.

Sorry mate I come from Aberdeen Scotland. A bit to far to send a wheel to get machined :)

Man, it's been so hard trying to find someone in the U.S. to modify the GSXR wheels to fit the ZL hub.

Anybody here know of any machine shop who can do this mod?

I would assume that any good machine shop with a qualified machinist and a nice CNC machine would be able to do what you want. Try checking with any billeting companies in your city. At the very least they might have the insider info that you are looking for.
