OEM Petcock Rebuild Service....Cores Needed

Right! Rather than opening a new topic I decided it would be best to ask here... There're two gas lines coming from my 600 petcock - there's the thick hose going "into" the bike and a smaller one coming out of the side (towards the back of the bike)... Which one should take the filter?
Also would it be a problem if the filter is a bit/a lot tilted (not sure how much space I've got)?
Q3: Since I'm not really good with imperial measurements which Pingel filter model fits the 600 fuel line 5/16" or the 3/8"? Guess that's the diameter of the hoses described above?
 
You should not have two gas lines. One line (larger of the two) is the gas line feed. You will put a filter in this line. The other line (smaller) should be your vacuum line to operate the petcock. Don't know the line size for the filter you ask about.

Got it! Now that I know which hose does what, I guess I'll be able to figure out the filter size... Thanks!

Got any rebuilt valves Markus? Don’t feel like ordering all the required parts!
 
Hi Markus - I've got a 97 ZL600, with a leaking petcock (again). I rebuilt it several years ago, but can no longer find the diaphragm for it. Do you have a source for parts, and / or could you rebuild mine?
 
Thanks R.J. That's what I thought as well, but two days after I ordered them from there, I get a message from partzilla saying they are on back order with no estimated delivery date. No place else seems to have them, at least not that I could find.
 
Ooop! Spoke to soon - I just got another e-mail from partzilla. The part should be here in a month,.
 
:hello: I placed a $150 order from partszilla last week for 3 different brands of bikes. They had all 13 parts in stock but two. They did a parcel shipment for me at no charge and will send the other two parts when they come in. The sales guy told me that they are doing over 5000 orders a month which is up 30% from last year. Also he told me that orders are taking up to three extra days because of this Covid 19 Virus and the large increase in sales.
