What exhaust do have on your 900/1000?

Two have stock exhaust and one was bought with second gen holeshots.

Looking at taking the stockers from the resto and fabbing a custom set from them since the bottoms are rotting out.

I'll try to find pics once I get them uploaded to photobucket or something.

Too bad the poll only allows for one entry, prevents getting an accurate view of what is out there.

it let me check all that apply!

No Cobra F1's out there?

my 86 used to have them on here is a pic. cobras only look good when they are polished and mine are not as of yet.

Hey Paul,
How does the exhaust sound with the baffles on the pipes, I have the open tips and I would like to quiet it down a little. Have you ever heard the open pipes? I wanted to know if there is a difference...

Yes I have run them without the end caps and disks. Sounds reaal good but a bit too loud for me. I have also ran without the internal baffles a few times and that sounds like a Pro-stocker.

I currently am running 13 disks per side with the closed cap and am thinking about running the open race cap. Should sound sweet that way.

Stock! It is all about the harmonics! Most exhausts have a particular pitch. The stock ZL exhaust is described as “throaty” that has a low frequency and long wavelength. But exhaust sounds don't have just one frequency. Exhausts that have only one frequency are not very interesting. The ZL Stock exhaust has more color than the whorl of the custom exhaust.

Eleanor with reworked D&D

I have also added more disks than the 7 original the trapps came with and am running the original closed end cap.

I didn't like the sound of open trapps.

I like the sound of original pipes and power chamber over any aftermarket system, it is unique to the eliminator.

Silent but deadly...:fart: :laughing7:

a d&d four into one into the empty power chamber into the stock zl900 mufflers with the outlet removed.

Hey Shane, I think you need to change the wording in your member profile as you most definitely know you are NOT the only one around here who owns an Eliminator.:pk:
Get your tail over here when the weather breaks and ride that hard tail.
