Powder coating

What did they charge you for that? I'm getting ready to do the same thing.

$75.00 and got it back in 2 days! He was plenty busy but I asked if he could bump me forward from some of his other work because my carbs were on the way and he did it for me. Good guy to deal with.

Somehow I knew that was going to come from you. Living in the Washington D.C. metropolitan area your going to pay a little more for everything! Besides that he is the only game in town. I would have paid a little more if needed and now that I've dealt with him most likely will get a little better deal from him with all of the different services he offers!:pk:

:laughing7: We have 7 Powder Coating Shops here in Volusia Co. I use Power Coat + in Port Orange FL. They do Power Coating for the Areo Space Companies that I worked for. They are the only one that is ISO 9001 certified. They have 20+ years of experiance & are one of the best. Also one of the lowest in price.

Well $75.00 and 2 days turn around time seems like a good deal to me. Thanks for the info.

:hello: All my orders was also back in 2 days. Delivered to my house at no extra cost. The owner's son lives near me.

I like my vale cover work...

:hello: How's the KRYLON holding up. I've never liked using it. It seems to take to long to dry and seemed to peel at the edges. Once I painted a quad frame with KRYLON paint and in a few months it looked worse than the stock finish.

still looks like the day it was done...

I was thinking of getting into powder coating or cerra coat but talked myself out of it as i have too many irons in the fire. Still looking at anodizing though.
I've had good luck with vht paint and curing it in the treatment oven. 400 degrees 20 min cool down 800 degrees 20 min cool down 1200 degrees 20 min cool down. Isnt quite as hard as powder coat but you have to work pretty damn hard to mark it.
Nothing is cheap in dc is it? Just my very limited experience
