I dont want to pay motion pro 60 bucks for something I feel like I can rig myself. Anyone done this? materials, photos would be greatly appreciated.

I had one. Drilled a hole in the cap to fit air tight around the tubing.
Then I drilled a small vent hole in the cap too. Insert tubing until it hits the bottom of the bottle. Fill with gas. Put your finger oer the hole and give the bottle a squeeze to start the siphon action. Put a small 5/16 filter at the end of the tubing to keep any crud out of the carbs and this will also give you a nice place to hook into your fuel line on the bike.

Sweet, I am going to try that. You cant put too much gas in and overflow the carbs this way can you? will the floats/needles top the flow appropriately or do I just have to guestimate and try not to overfill?

That's the same tank that quite a few of us are using. Well worth the money and works very good.

Floats control the flow. At least they are supposed to. That is why we bench test with auxiliary tank!

That is a lot more reasonable than the motion pro one, I still may try building my own. Also, Mark, why do your plug wires run towards the front instead of back over the carbs?

Yup thats what i thought, I have an issue then. My carbs leaked from the bottom.
I built one with a gear oil bottle, some fuel line and a coat hanger. Total cost, about 5 cents.

I used a metal valve from a tubeless tyre, fitted through the plastic cap of a bottle (with small hole drilled in it). Then fit a piece of fuel hose with an inline shut off valve and your are sorted.
on the ZL900 & ZL1000 the coils are located up front under tank. the ZL600 they are located under seat. hope this answers your question Bro !

Heres my contribution, Aluminum Bud light bottle with a micro valve (not necessary but I have **** tons of them) and a screw in schrader valve so it can take pressure if necessary. I have a tap that happened to fit the mouth opening so I tapped it and screwed the fitting in. All the fittings are pressure proof
