Sweet! Nothing like a new paint job. How did you decide who to use? Also curious if you tried to match the original paint.

Very nice! The badges are available aftermarket but they aren't cheap.

I have not had a bike painted in some time. Checking with body shops they mostly all do insurance clam jobs or priced it too expensive. At one shop the owner's son came out and said he would do it on his spare time. $400 As for color matching I am not that picky. I figure basic nonmetalic black is black.

My side cover emblems are not bad. One of my tank emblems has some heavy gouged areas on it. I will probably try cleaning/touching them up. If I distroy them I may need a link to those aftermarket ones.

That seller also has an E-bay store. I contacted him about all the ZL 10 badges and he never got back to me. He does not have them all in his E-bay store. Are you saying you got all the body work painted for the ZL1ooo for 400 bucks? If so, that's a smokin' deal! I'm in the process of getting just a ZL1000 tank repainted in black and they want 5 and 6 hundred bucks just to do the tank! Needless to say, my search continues!

Most shops around me want $700 to $1000 to paint a bike. John my painter did my ZL 10 plus 2 extra side covers for $365. Anything under $500 is a good deal. When John shoots a bike if it is done in black or white he uses the shops paint. Other colors the cost goes up.

If I just go with what is needed it would be just 1 tank badge. Yet I never stop with just what is needed. Just the 1 tank badge is gouged. All other badges are descent just 30+ yrs old.

That's correct. What is in the pictures was $400. I had 2 bad dents on my zl9 tank and gave him that when I picked the zl10 stuff up. He said I should get it by Friday. $100. He also uses his dad's shop paint for the black. Does it on his own time. I would have to pay up if he has to buy a color.
He is soon to get at least 3 different bikes to paint.
