You are really tempting me to make a trip to North Carolina! I need my tank done really bad!

Didn't get as many parts on as I would have liked to. Yet I had to see how the rear fender looked with the lower section painted to match and I like it. Chaco it out.

Nice....the guy does good work. Actually, I have two tanks that need done so it makes it more feasable to make a trip.

Are you going decal-less?
Already got a set of tank decals from RJ for the zl9 tank. The zl10 will get new metal badges from the Canadian supplier.

They usually go under the clear coat if that's base/clear.

Asked him about shipping today. He said he would worry about sending them back. If you want to send them to me I could get them to him and have him paint. When there done I could meet you somewhere near NC VA WV state lines. I'm in Dunn NC, painter is in Jacksonville NC. PM me and we can work something out. I am very pleased with the work.

Yeah, I'm not too big on sending these in the mail either, even packed as well as a person can. Sure, you can put enough insurance on it to pay for it in the event it does get damaged but they just aren't out there for sale at any price so they're not replaceable. I'd rather spend the $$$ on gas and know they got there intact if we wind up doing it. Thanks for the offer regardless. My daughter lives in Knoxville so I'd drop them off as I'm visiting one weekend.

If I had to paint my tank and wasn't going for a restoration, I'd use the old Kawasaki River Mark logo on it.

I know about postal loss very well. The right side cover I have for the zl10 is the 2nd cover I bought as the bike did not have one when I purchased it. The first remains scanned by USPO as "out for delivery". Been that way going on 4-5 months. I got my $$ back for it from PayPal.

I may put that logo in the center of the zl9 tank just below the gas cap.

Got an extra hour of sleep last night and was up early. Had to put the zl10 back together. Here are a few pictures. I put the old emblems on while waiting on the new ones to come in.

I felt as it was odd. Should it go inside the triple clamps behind headlight? I know the choke cable is way off aftermarket cable.

Looks great with that body work mounted. Just a few things to sort out over the winter and you'll be ready for some miles in the spring.
