I'd check the resistance of the fan switch since it's the only thing that allows current to flow with the ignition switch off.
You need to use a lithium charger for lithium batteries they charge at a different rate. I don't remember all the details. The BATTERY TENDER Engineering Department is in Deland FL which is 15 minutes from my home. I went over their a few years ago to talk to an Engineer about lithium batteries. When I worked for G.E. Areospace they was one of our battery suppliers for our Navy Ship Contol Systems.
You get what you pay for. Why buy old ass technology and have it last 3 years or spend the extra money and have it last three times as long. You are spending the same amount of money. If you go with an AGM gel battery buy a Mighty Max. https://www.amazon.com/Mighty-Max-B...nja+motorcycle+battery&qid=1629826260&sr=8-35 . I have one in my Xmark zero turn mower. It was in my Snapper before that. (2016) I set the max aside for three years and installed it in the Xmark two weeks ago.
Here is a mighty max bat with 230 CCA. ($33) https://www.amazon.com/Mighty-Max-B...amp+motorcycle+battery&qid=1629828034&sr=8-16 .You get what you pay for. Four years on a lead acid battery is average. In FL it's lower because of the 9 months of temps being in the 90s. I don't own a ZL 600 so I couldn't tell you for sure which one fits. Most batteries for sell on the net has the dementions and the post locations. Measure yours and compare/match them up. I'd go up one size on the cracking AMPs.
Ya, the snow will be flying by the time he gets a battery!!!
