zl 400 eliminator sport

Hi folks, recently bought an 88 Zl 400 se. There appears to be a slight oil weep from between the cylinder head and cylinder block. Could this just require a cylinder head gasket and torque it back down? Common problem or just unlucky? Any help greatly appreciated!
