G'Day Guys,
I bought a product recently that acts like the Die-Electric Silicon Grease in protecting electrical components like bulbs, wire connections, etc from corrosion, but unlike the normal die-electric silicon grease, this stuff is actually electrically conductive !!!
It's a paste, just like the silicon grease, but it also contains 25% real silver, so anything it touches will increase it's contact conductivity, plus protect the mating surfaces from corrosion.

It is sold at most electronic hobby shops here in Australia like "Jaycar Electronics", "**** Smith Electronics" and "Tandy's/RadioShack", etc it only comes in a tiny 1.5 gram tube for $4.95AUD, but with a bit of searching, I'm sure you guys will be able to buy it in the U.S or U.K.
You don't need to apply very much, a very thin smear is all you need, so even though the tube holds a very small amount, it should last you for ages, just watch out where you put it, (it can get everywhere) as it will bridge contacts (it's no good for inside switches) and short out, so you have to be very precise where you apply it, if you do spread it around too much, it can be removed with white spirit, kerosene, turpentine, petrol, or any keytone / acetone based products like nail polish remover, carb cleaner or acrylic paint thinners.
I've used it inside the spark plug boots on the spark plug contacts, on both ends of the spark plug resistor, on "bullet" type wire connectors and multi-pin connectors, on battery posts and clamps, on the base's of all my bulbs, pretty much anywhere where a good electrical contact is essential.
I've tested all the stuff I've used it on for electrical continuity and amperage resistance and I am definately getting a better continuity reading on my multimeter with little, if any ohm resistance, plus the bike seems to have a better, bluer spark when arced out.
Just thought I'd let you all know.
