I am still obtaining parts but when I get everything together then I will post some pix also. I would like nothing else to just have a bike that runs right now! I am pushing for beter weather also. Considering going to Mid Ohio also. Anybody else want to go from PA? Need help loading the bikes and beer, or atleast drinking it ! Mr-Matt

Hey Mr. Matt,
As soon as some nicer weather gets here I'll be sure to bring mine by your house to help motivate you to get yours together, but if you want me to stop you'll have to shovel or plow that driveway of yours sometime  . As for Mid-Ohio, my vacation plans are already made for this year, a week at the shore with the wife in July and the Super Chevy Show in Gainesvillle, FL in October. Maybe next year.

Me Too

Hey there 69er;
I'm in the process of doing some mods that might catch your eye.
Tank swap.
Muffler positioning.
Handle bars.
Rear fender change.
Seat change.
Headlight (s)
Front end.

It could take a couple of years. :)

I'll keep you posted.

mid ohio

MrMatt, I would love to go to this event but I think that it is the same weekend in July of a Golf tournament that I play in. This is somewhere around 20 years for the tourney so I just have to hope that the event for bikes gets changed to a different weekend. Furchin

Golf vs Bikes Wemon and Beer

LOL, that is ok Furchin. I have to laugh becuse Mr4spd69 said that you would be going to the golf classic! I wish yo the best and hope you keep the score low, watch your balls! lol, thanks for the tire imput. Matty

LOOKING FOR PRICES OR INFO ON BIG BORE KIT.1180. THAT'S WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT SREIOUS HP. WHAT I'VE HEARD IS IT DYNOED AT 142, AND STILL DEPENDABLE

Nodope, don't know where you got that info from.... standard overbores on the ZL1000 are Wiseco Kits that will net you 1039cc. Not sure of power, couldn't find any dyno charts quickly enough online. You could have seen a VERY seriously modified engine with aftermarket cylinder heads etc. and a stroker crank to boot. Would be very expensive to go that route. Much better off taking MachIV's route with a ZRX1200 motor in there...

Just for comparison, the following excerpt was taken from the ZRXOA message board about a highly modified ZRX1100 motor:

1278

Naturally the dyno shop doesn't have a printer and my digital camera took a nice, blurry picture but I"vea good memory! She peaked out at 158hp, SAE, at around 9500rpm. Curve is extremely flat, only losing a few hp at 10,500rpm. Torque peaked at 98ft/lbs at around 7500rpm. Again, curve was extremely flat having 75ft/lbs from 5000 to nearly 11,000rpm. I was hoping for bigger hp numbers from this motor but apparently the extra cubes gave it more torque than hp. The sniffer showed it to be a tad rich at higher rpms. Popping the pods off gave it a couple more hp and leaned it out about half a point but still on the rich side. Hopefully I'll be trying a less restrictive exhaust next to wake it up on top and maybe fiddle with the cam timing a little more.

BTW, it's an 1100 with a SBM 1195 block and a 4mm stroker crank done by APE. Carillo rods, JE pistons, compression ratio unknown but it's the highest I can safely run on super unleaded(12,13-1?), zx11 cams, big valves, ported head, 40mm mikunis, Kerker meg, Dyna sparker. Best et to date is 9.66 at 142mph.
