LOL...Part of the reason I believe in this team over previous years is how they rippedbthe heart right out of the Giants...it'll be a looong time before they recover..if ever. One thing is for sure..they aren't the beast in the east any more! :laughing7:

Enjoy the past with the washed up Steelers and Giants...I'm looking forward with a young, healthy (finally), balanced (finally), team with as much ability to win as any team in the league. These days...that's all you can ask for...and I'm happy with it. You haters don't bother me one bit! :pistols:

I'm just happy with a solid offensive line. If not this year...next year...we finally have the tools. That's all that matters. Time and talent are on our side. Haters can't change that. :laughing7:

WTF...A rookie fumbled a well thrown pass to end the game. You guys said Tony would choke...he didn't. Again you don't know sh*t about this team....I told you this coming week is the week for measuring talent on this team. I guess I'll have to repeat for the morons in the audience...HERE'S THE PLAN... young players..new defense..win division..peak at the END of the season! Got it now?

I deal in facts, and the product I see on the field...not conjecture and speculation based on coaching styles and players that no longer are a part of the program. The fact is...as I told you before..we won't know anything till the 2nd half of the season.

All I am looking for is some consistency and bonding among the mix of players and talent put in place this year. Right now...we are still showing improvement and trying new things in order to prepare for the possibilities in the post season. I see the potential in my team and I refuse to burden them with the weaknesses of former teams. They are a talented group for the first time in a long time...and that's good enough for me at this point. As long as they continue to get better...I'm fine with it.

They are a lot like that 91 team....and you guys sound EXACTLY like the haters from those days. They finally have the talent...they just need time together to develop the confidence that comes from time playing with other hungry talented players. They will get their lumps along the way, but in the end they will be champions!

i did'nt say he would choke every game, i said he was a choker in general. i like how you twist things for your benefit,if somebody does'nt agree with you then they're on some type of substance or you degrade them personally. a loss is a loss hillbilly.
You just felt like hurling out insults based on opinion more than fact. Calling a perennial pro a choker is no compliment in my book. What I do know is...so far Tony hasn't cost them a game this year...and this IS the year we are talking about! BTW...I didn't degrade anyone. It was a general statement. ...I simply consider people that don't listen to be morons...so I saw a need to reiterate the data for said people. Who says you have to be one of them? You have the ability to listen as well as anybody. Try it and see.

I attribute the Cowboys the potential to win based on the talent level of the product...instead of basing my predictions on some long held hatred of a man that shares more and more control of the team every day.

Jerry Jones is surrounding himself with people that give the franchise the best opportunity to compete. I have no problem with that whatsoever!

Just face it HillBilly, the Cowboys will never be great again, until Jerry Jones dies and goes away. His supposed "football knowledge" has literally handi-capped this team for the past 20 years! The "team" that Jimmy Johnson built back in the early 90's was done IN SPITE of Jerry. He got rid of JJ and it's been nothing but hopeless futility ever since. Once he dies and somebody decides to hire a REAL GM, with some actual FOOTBALL KNOWLEDGE, then the Cowboys will become relevant again.

Thanks for that invaluable bit of un requested incite! I'm gonna run over to the sports bar this evening and see how many drinks the value of such a statement gets me...can't wait! :rotf:

The simple fact is I am sick and tired of haters spouting garbage about Jones and Romo. Be a fan...don't be a fan...I don't care. They have a right to go for their dreams the same as anybody else and I can't stand people who despise them for trying. When you do that it only makes you look small. This is still America and people have a right to go for the brass ring. I for one...always admire those who do , and regardless of personal opinion, will never stoop to criticize them for it! Later :pistols:

You guys were dishing it out before I got here. As soon as I started criticizing Ben...RJ was out. I'll be here all day! I will be standing up for what's right until I can't stand up any more! So ya might as well get used to it. I just had shoulder surgery friday...so ya might wanna give me a minute to respond every now and then instead of spouting how the threads all dead cause I didn't answer quick enough!

There is some merit to that arguement..however...what I think happened is they have struggled with midiocre talent ever since the league turned into the great equalizer and stifled teams that wanted to reward players and build dynasties. Only recently has Dallas had talent approaching any where near the level they had back in the 90s.

I don't disagree that Jones caused them some setbacks through his stubbornness and lack of trust with the staff. Recently..I have spoken to friends in the metro area that know people behind the scenes that say things have begun to change in that area with regards to the coaching staff. (Please keep in mind this is all here say from a few season ticket holders, and information gathered from various articles on the net.) I'm hoping Garrett and Stephen Jones can continue this trend in spite of Jerry's passion and put the team ahead. I...for one...am willing to give them that chance.

PS-I can appreciate you feeling that way as a result of frustration. I just think there are too many people besides Jerry Jones that really want to see the program succeed....Key among them being Stephen Jones..who..when given the chance, knows exactly what his father's strengths and weaknesses are with this team..and how to improve upon them.

:hello: I'm only out because you are boring the hell out of me. I do not care one way or another what you say about football related subjects.

I didn't start it...I'm only here in support of my team.

im not a hater of anyboby or any football team. it's a thread to have a little fun with and not at the expense of you or anybody else. I didn't name them America's team and just don't care for them having that handle so simma down now. Denver is about to become America's team after next week. :laughing7:

I never said you were. I just get tired of all the negativity...towards TR especially...because without him we really would've been screwed. He and Whitten were about the only thing keeping them in games for the last 6 years! Tony plays EXACTLY like his favorite qb Favre...who played EXACTLY like his favorite qb Staubach...which is EXACTLY why I like him!
