Dang, missed the end if the game because the boy ask for help changing that Honda Oil. Bat weekend for both my Texas teams: A&M & Dallas.
"Ups and downs for America's team". Looking forward to next week...

I know exactly what he was..and wasn't. Good player..yes..crackhead that had to sell his ring..no. :rotf: He was another standout player from my hometown..along with the real non-crackhead LT!

:hello: That was Super Bowl XIII. Neal O'Donnell through both passes directly to him with no receivers within 10 yards. They remade The Longest Yard & got the idea to use the Steelers Quarter Back to through the game played by Adam Sandler as the Q B.

Yeah...pressure was the reason he got those interceptions. He was a gambler that was responsible for several big plays given up to other teams because of how he played. He was a ballhawk with good closing speed but he was no Deon Sanders.

Deon Sanders.

Can't stand a showboat. The cowboys are the worst showboaters, whether winning, or losing by 40 pts. Catch a pass, do your rooster strut. Tackle a guy after a 30-yd gain, do your tribal dance. No class, no discipline. There's an old saying in sports - "act like you've been here before".

"act like you've been here before"

Very, very wise...the ones that run into the end zone and do NOTHING, are the ones that get it ALL! Meaning..the fans go wild...because of the poise that the player shows. Ray Rice from the Ravens, I would say has that poise...he does flex his bicep...but THAT"S ALL HE DOES...and he repeats that, so you know it's the same thing...no dance...no shuffle...just a sign of muscle. I like it...it's a celebration, without all the carrying on some of these fools do when they make the end zone...um...they ARE getting paid to do that, so what's all the excitement about???? When you get a project done at work, do you run around and throw your tools down?

Nice home opener today, but I feel that that's the only win they are goin to get.

After 43 years as a Cowboys fan...one thing I know for sure...smashmouth vs finesse...I'll take the smashmouth team every time! :pistols:

Do you actually watch the games...or just Sportscenter? Dallas has been fighting on both sides of the line of scrimmage. They raped the Rams and ate their children today. It was the most dominant performance I've seen since my Madden days back in the 90s. :rotf:

No..they dominated in that game. Sam Bradford hadn't been sacked..Dallas got 6 and hit him something like 12 times! The offense ran for something like 200 yards. If not for a bad call on a 4th down desperation play, the Rams wouldn't have scored a point. If not for one or two plays..would be undefeated at this point...and they are only going to get better. They are nowhere near peaking...and yet they can play with any team in the league. The only fly in the ointment is Austin is still hampered by hamstring problems. The big difference there is we have improved with new options at tight end and receiver.

We destroyed the Giants and they never recovered. That's a byproduct of a smashmouth football team. They were undefeated when we played them wisenhiemer.

The "Manster" Randy White said "It's breakin' my heart that the expert's pick to win the division (the Redskins) are 0-3" :laughing7:

As a long time Dallas fan, I can say I'm pleasantly surprised on how the season has unfolded so far. But I'm a realist also, and I can see them choke down the stretch, which they have basically done every year for the past decade. When they actually WIN THE DIVISION, and WIN A PLAYOFF game, I'll start believing again. Don't hold your breath!!!!!

I love the doubt...that way they can go under the radar just like in 92!

What it was was the last time they played smashmouth football, and the last time they had a really good offensive line. The last time someone other than the qb could carry the load offensively. The last time they the talent on both sides of the ball decent enough to contend for a championship. Whether it was 17 years ago or yesterday...they are what they were, and what they will be for years to come... a very good football team.

I love seeing what these supposed top tier QBs (Eli and Ben) do behind inferior offensive lines like the one Tony had while he was setting all those Cowboys records! :rotf:
