I like the sound of the stock set up, & the wife likes that we can talk without screaming while riding. BUT, I was wondering if you could tell me what the Holeshot set up sounds like? Is it louder than stock & by very much? Is the sound that whiney cr-ouch rocket sound? or more like a rumble or what?

Hey Mike, Its a Rumble to Start With, And it only GETS BETTER Not "Harley LOUD" But a Lot Deeper. Only Time I Heard Mine was on a Dyno, Even the Crotch Rocket Crowd Were Impressed???If you Go with Holeshots I would Advise the Stage 3 and K&N Pod Filters, You will Probaly have to do a "Little Tweaking" and Geting the Boots to the Stock Airbox is a Mother. Keeping the Chrome Covers is NO PROBLEM, Check my Pics in the Gallery, Later Rocky

Holeshots have an awesome sound that is not really loud unless the throttle is held wide open then they seem loud, but under normal driving they are just fine. But I like to hear my toys run. Well worth the money, and just a note get the stage three kit the airbox is a pain in the ass.

Imagine a 1969 Camaro with a Big-block 502 with Doug Thorley Tri-Y Headers & Flowmasters & 3" exhaust, and you have what an Eliminator sounds like.

Do you NEED the stage 3 kit with the Holeshots, what I guess I mean is, will it hinder the performance of the bike at all to not install it with the pipes?
Someone surely has tried it or is using the Holeshots with stock carb and airbox setup.

You can run the pipes with the stock jets. Although it will blue the pipes and mine would miss above 7000 rpms. They do make a stage one kit for use with the stock airbox, but. The stock airbox is a pain in the ass so It is not worth the hassle of the stage one kit, just go with the stage three and the open pod filters.

I thought it was: Eliminator In Torque We Thrust, anyway I digress. What's gonna be your deciding factor besides cost will be your ease of use during routine maintenance. Removing the airbox affords you a lot of room to work on your carbs among other things & gives you better performance due to better airflow.

He was suppose to make a backrest for my zl900 and haven't heard from him in 5 months (he's been paid already). All I have is his email address but he hasn't answered my last 4. I think he's based in NH. Any help would be great.

I don't think he's on here. I had gotten his name from a guy that had a backrest made by him. He said it was a well made product so I gave it a shot. He had replied to the first couple emails i've sent but no more. I'm not sure what to do next......................................

Did you make a transaction through paypal? Forward this thread to him and go make a few others and forward him the links. Let him know that your spreading the word. Get his Ebay ID included in here too. Find out what he sells and maybe you can find some related forums and spam him there too

I have bought from Rick in the past and although he was slow to ship, his product was good. I have his address, no phone tho. I think Rick just gets too busy, I highly doubt that he would intentionally rip ya tho.
