Here in Thailand it's best to stay in the fast lane as the slow lane is screwed up from the big trucks that are over loaded. The bad part is all the big buses travel slow in the outer lane because the first lane is screwed. Thai people here have no concept of lanes for driving in or even which direction is the CORRECT direction to go.

I only tailgate when some A-hole is pacing the car next to him, doing 55 in the fast lane.

I HATE tailgaters! I do a lot of highway driving which in Maine is 2 lanes each way for the most part. One of the things I hate the most is when I am behind someone in the the left lane and someone comes up behind me and rides my ass, either I can't go anywhere or I'm not moving over so I can get caught behind traffic I was trying to get around to begin with.
Many times there is a car in the right lane that the car ahead of me or the next car is passing, and I am not getting over for some a**hole riding my butt so that I can get stuck behind the a**hole everyone is trying to get by, especially if I have been patiently waiting for the cars ahead of me to get the hell out of my way. In these situations the tailgater might try to pass on the right (which is illegal here) and pull in front of me, noooo no no no no . That is when I will tuck right in behind the car in front of me, even flooring it to close the gap. If successful, trapping the usurper behind right lane traffic . Hopefully this will teach them that driving like an ******* can cause them to be treated like one!

Don’t you hate those motorcycle guys that run up to your blind spot on the passenger taillight and just hang there. They ride the line between the lanes waiting for the time to shoot pass between your front headlight and the next car’s driver’s taillight. I refer to them as ‘Kidney Donors’!

Problem with waiting for the traffic to open up is that it will take miles and miles till the dummy thats holding it up gets out of the way!! So by being patient your adding to the problem> Move over and let the crazzy guy/gal thats tailing you get up there and scare the slow poke into moving over and all the backed up traffic will be able to get moving.

A pair of 10" HIDs in the front pushbar help too. I still dont understand why the US doesnt adapt to the european driving laws: If your not passing or have flashing lights on your roof, get the hell out of the fastlane!
