On longer journeys I've recently been wearing earphones so I can listen to my iPod. I used to have helmet speakers, but found that I could barely hear the music once I was going about 80mph. The earphones I've got have a soft rubber insert that is interchangeable, it came with 3 sizes. That inserts are the most comfortable things I've ever felt in my ears, and the does an amazing job of cutting out noise. I actually think they do a better job than normal earplugs, with the added bonus that I can listen to my music at the same time, which certainly makes the miles pass faster on a long trip.

mostly always wear custom made ear protection.
and when i'm not, i hear a rattle or buzz and think somethings wrong.

just tryed a ipod and liked it,
put it on my tank with velcro and think its great.
only thing is , cant put the volume up or down with gloves on.
but with in ear phones it doesnt have to be so loud.

greets Edd,

I almost always wear a full faced helmet and no hearing protection but after reading these posts......I think I'll try some foam plugs or maybe even an i-pod soon! Mark
