Some time ago I bought 5 gallons of EVAPO-RUST from Summit Racing. $80 shipped. Today I cleaned out my ZL 10 fuel tank with it. It says to let the solution sit for 30 minutes. I let it in for an hour. Most of the rust came out of the tank so I let it sit over night. I'd now say 95% of the rust came out. After draining the tank I blew high pressure air in the fuel tank for 2 minutes to dry the solution. As soon as I could I filled the tank with fuel so that it wouldn't flash rust. When putting the EVAPO-RUST back in it's container I used a lawn mower filter to strain it. Then the last bit I filtered with a lint free towel. I may do it again but let it sit for 24 to 36 hours. Also I used 5/16" motion pro fuel line. Cost $2 a ft. I also use a PINGEL 5/16" inline fuel filter. One other thing I used a fuel valve that had no filter so that all the particulets would exit the fuel tank. This whole process took about 4 hours which included mounting the fuel tank on the bike.
