:hello: Some time ago I bought 5 gallons of EVAPO-RUST from Summit Racing. $80 shipped. Today I cleaned out my ZL 10 fuel tank with it. It says to let the solution sit for 30 minutes. I let it in for an hour. Most of the rust came out of the tank so I let it sit over night. I'd now say 95% of the rust came out. After draining the tank I blew high pressure air in the fuel tank for 2 minutes to dry the solution. As soon as I could I filled the tank with fuel so that it wouldn't flash rust. When putting the EVAPO-RUST back in it's container I used a lawn mower filter to strain it. Then the last bit I filtered with a lint free towel. I may do it again but let it sit for 24 to 36 hours. Also I used 5/16" motion pro fuel line. Cost $2 a ft. I also use a PINGEL 5/16" inline fuel filter. One other thing I used a fuel valve that had no filter so that all the particulets would exit the fuel tank. This whole process took about 4 hours which included mounting the fuel tank on the bike. It's good stuff. Used it several times. Best of all like you did, strain it and it's reusable.

:hello: Mike B. & I de-rusted the inside of our fuel tank's today using EVAPO-RUST. This is the second time for mine. I did mine again because the first time that I done mine I was a 1/2 gal short so about 1/10 th. of my tank still had rust in it. We let Mike's tank sit for 5 hours before draining it. It was not all that rusty. We pulled his tank to check the fuel filter which is part of the fuel pump. My fuel tank will sit over night with EVAPO-RUST. :hello: I drained my ZL 10 fuel tank at 2 PM today. Time spent soaking was about 20 hours. In pic #1 the rust in the bucket is from 2 fuel tanks. Pic #2 has a fuel valve/petcock with no filter which is what I use to drain a fuel tank. Also I use a lawn mower filter to help keep the EVAPO-RUST clean. IMG_5500.JPG IMG_5501.JPG

Evapo-Rust worked great for me in the past. I dunked 2 rotors in it overnight. Next day, wiped rotors with a rag and they looked like rust was never there. The paint on center of rotors was not affected.

:hello: When I rebuilt the front brake caliper on the EL 250 I soaked it in EVAPORUST over night and it came out looking new. Then I put it in my Ultrasonic Cleaner for an hour. Then I blew it out with air before rebuilding the brake caliper.

:hello: I tried vinegar and it made a real mess. It ate the bottom of a gas cap off on my EL 250. ended up trashing the fuel tank. I use EVAPORUST for everything that is rusted.
