I'm looking for feedback on motorcycle specific boots. I have a cheap pair of speed and strength low boots that need replacing. They offer no more protection than a quality over the ankle hiker boot. The plastic buckle for the strap over the laces broke.

Looking for something that offers good protection, waterproof and breathable that I can walk around in. I like at least a small heal to engage with the pegs. Willing to pay a fair amount for a good boot. These Dainese solarys gore tex are pretty high on my list. https://www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/dainese-solarys-gore-tex-boots

I will probably pick up some vented sneaker style shoes for quick trits or the really hot days.

:hello: Don't buy any boots that has the soles molded to the uppers. They seperate after 4 or 5 years no matter the price. The soles that are stiched to the uppers last the life of the boot. Also you can have them resoled. https://www.amazon.com/Street-Bike-Boots/s?k=Street+Bike+Boots . I have these. https://www.amazon.com/ONeal-Unisex...ords=Street+Bike+Boots&qid=1613611830&sr=8-20 . They are 10 years old. They are for street and off road riding. Stylish they are not. They are comfortable enough to wall for a few miles. They run small so order one size up and put a pair of gel inserts in them for longer walking. My Son has these. https://www.amazon.com/Joe-Rocket-M...VLOGP0/ref=psdc_3271416011_t2_B073XVFZKB?th=1. He uses them for dual sport riding.

Those Joe Rocket boots look like my el cheaops that have a broken buckle on the lace cover. Looks like they have the heel plastic in them which is one of the things on my list. That biker style is the only one that can be resoled, they are a bit on the heavy side and kill my back and knees when walking in them just like my safety boots for work. Weight and flexibility was why I was leaning towards the synthetic upper sport tour style. I always wear out the left tread from pivoting when riding away from a standstill so new soles every couple of years would be nice though.

I'm adding some new gear for this year's riding.

Thanks RJ.

I wear navy issue flight deck boots. Every day for years.

leather Dehners. They are made to order in size and fit you like a 10 year old boot out of the box.

"leather Dehners"
Woah! Just checked out the site those horse riding boots are spendy. Holy mackerel, they make some luxurious products. I like some fine boots and recently got a nice pair of casual boots and spend whatever it takes on some redwing comfortable work boots.

I'm digging those Dehners alert boots. I like the adjustability of the laces and a zipper for ez on and off.

Bought Icon Stormhawk Waterproof Boots
Not available yet but I like goretex because I hate wet feet and I am looking forward to trying out the boa lacing system. Pre ordered they stated mid March, hope they don't take too long to get here.

:hello: NIce. :notworthy:. I've been looking for a pair of goretex street riding boots. They look to have about 50% stiching on the soles. What did they cost. Can you post up a link on where you bought them.
