Umm... I can either send a pic of me sitting on my not-so-shiney ZL soon, or if you wait a couple of months I can send one of it shiney. If I ever get round to being able to afford the rest of the painting supplies I need :(

:rotf: "Not so shiney" will do acp...lol

I'm counting 6 members that havent put up yet wuputt, is that right...?

COME ON GUYS!!!

wuputt will have these patches in a couple of days, time to pay the piper...

Lets get SD reimbursed for his costs....

Keep watchin the list, I will edit it as payments are recieved.
I am sending SD the monies Monday, I want him to have it when he gets out of the hospital!

Wuputt, add Stormy to the paid list. He got six 1000 patches and they have already been sent to him.

I might get back on tomorrow morning for a little while but then headed off, see you guys again on Sunday or Monday my time.

Cheers to all of you,

SD

Carpentry... an honorable profession mick. I started out in life building boats in a small boatyard in the south of ireland. I can truly say its the only job I have ever had that when finished the job in hand, I could stand back and admire what I had created... From transforming a stack of wood on the back of a truck to be turned into a beautiful boat or whatever... did it for 3 years before the world of electronics and multinational corporations got me... Havent had that sense of satisfaction since...
I think you're lucky Mick...

Stormy, glad you got them and that you like them, the ones for the US and UK should be showing up soon.

I'm kinda out of it today as I was supposed to go into hospital but the Thai hospital didn't do as I suggested and they got NO clearance for them to get paid from the US Veterans Administration so I'm still got my guts hanging with my nuts. 555

Have to stay up late to get it all sorted but should be able to get it done soon. Heck, maybe I'll even get to see Wuputt and Monkeyhanger say they got the patches before I go in.

Geezus, now I've got a horrible mental image of you sitting infront of the computer with half your gut's hanging out, :pale: thanks for that, SD... I hope it all works out well in the end.

I've just finished hand sewing (yes, I can sew !!!) my zl-oa.com patch onto my leather vest, that goes over my leather jacket.

I reckon it look's excellent.

A word of warning though, I ironed it on first, to just to keep it positioned in the right place, whilst I sewed the edges down (rather than pinning it), but the hot melt glue doesn't stick very well to leather, as it was starting to lift away as I was sewing it on.

I want pics of everyones patch posted when it goes on. Maybe a separate post for ease of viewing. This totally rocks... I'm feeling the same as when alfalfa became a member or the "he-man woman haters club"

Big thanks to Sd and stormy and Wu, i hope I get to meet the members halfway across the world sometime. Not planning on a trip to thailand anytime soon (sorry) but Ireland and the UK are very doable, austrailia, hey I got relatives there, just not sure where, my aunt is a native. Russia, its on my list to visit. Hey SD how did you end up in thailand. Are you active duty?

Lowlife, there are no active bases left in Thailand but there are a few military but they work for the American Embassy.

I came here because I wasn't doing anything really in Hawaii. A real eye opener when I first got here as it reminded me of the movie "Good Morning Vietnam" with the line from Roger Williams when he was trying to find this woman. "There she is, no there she is" over and over again. So many good looking women around it was hard to pick just one. 555555555

If you ever do decide to come over here, mind your wallet and ATM cards because the bar girls think we're all walking ATM machines. 5555555555

It is cool in one way, over here, I'm a handsome man. :rotf:

My ZL patch is going to be the first patch to be sewn onto my leather vest. I've delayed putting any others on there so that it can have pride of place on there. I'm thinking about having it on the centre of my back, any other ideas?

The patch might also be a bit small for the middle of your back, adam, but it's a start if you are intending to add more.

Maybe the smaller patch could be enlarged, for use as a back patch, but I think we should leave that for a later discussion.

Mick.
