Vintage Motorcycle Days (VMD) 2011

Well now this is interesting....My Cousin (?) (my aunts kid) is getting married on the day before M/O of all the **** days, they are all in Missouri...not a huge ordeal except heres the clincher. He moved his wedding up because his mom (my Aunt) has been fighting cancer and it hasn't been looking very good. Shes been fighting it for a long time and I think she's plain tired and I don't know what will happen after this event. I was planning on going to see her on this very special occasion......I have a dilemma.

Well if your not too far away in MO you are most welcome to stop by and visit here. Unless I am at 2011 VMD! :laughing7: LOL

If I can put this whole thing together you guys are going to laugh your ass's off when I show up...........Thats all I can say for now.

Paul said he was calling daily and would let us know when he got through. Apparantly this long winter still has them hibernating...

Good morning. We have received the registration for the Kawasaki ZL Owners Association’s Club Corral. Everything’s in order. We’re working on the layout and will provide you with your location once finalized. Should you have any questions, please let me know.

Now if the **** campround would just answer the phone!

I am going to try and make it this year,as long as my buddy with his M109R can tag along....:laughing7:

Is the camp ground a good place to stay? I don't need deluxe accommodations but didn't know if I'd be better off sleeping in a corn field!! Not that I haven't done that before...:rr:

Are there any decent places to stay close to the grounds? Cheap hotels? Do you guys get an area in the campground so people are close to each other?

Just thinking about making some plans and putting in for some vacation from work. For those of you that have been there before, what are the best places to stay for a first timer??

your best bet, is to stay at campground. at this point in time, most all the hotels near track, are probably booked up. we have to wait for campground to open for the season before we can reserve campsites. they are really taking their time opening this year !!!!

why isn't the bike in the tent? lol.:nono:

:laughing7: funny you should ask that. that's Paulfun's bike, & he was actually considering puting it inside the tent. i kept my bikes at the track, because i had camping supplies ( beer, & snacks) in my truck. for the late night gatherings around fire with the Wuputt clan,Bacchus, Wissler, Jarney, & Paulfun. :rr:

Talked with the owner of Dragway42. Their schedule is now final. The only available Test n Tune will be Friday the 22nd. I think we can swing it! The only thing I'm concerned about is leaving the club space empty Friday night. If I'm not mistaken the track opens on Fridays at 6pm and can be busy that night.

yep, that is something to be concerned about, & it's going to be tough moving through the crowd sat. morning getting everything back onto club space.

Campground is now taking reservations.

Paulfun has spot #142 and back to back behind paul I have spot #129. Wuputt has #143 again. So That leaves #128 on the end to fill before the other two. Our sites have 4 spots around us. I think we should fill the end spot #128 first then work on the other two (#130 and #141). So get your reservations in now!

Tell them you want to be in the area with the "ZL Owners"

Lake Timberland Campground

I'll post up the rates when he gets back to me,,lol i didn't even think to ask!
