Vintage Motorcycle Days (VMD) 2011

looks like I'll be flying in again this year.... look forward to seeing everyone from last year (I hope) and a bunch of new ZLriders too!

let me know if there is anything in particular I should be bringing with me

I say we get Wissler to enter the ZL9 he got from WillyD to see if he can win the Worst economy :rr:

ok, I have to know who is going to enter thier ZL in the Craig Vetter Fuel Economy Challenge ?

You know you can win this ..LOL

I can't make it this year :(

THis is from the link you provided (Vetter said that the route from the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course will be roughly 100 miles, with awards for the overall winner,) So as long as we are allowed 1 fuel stop we might make the finish line without pushing!!!

I think any of the ZL's could win that ..LOL I do better then most on mpg's unless I open her up I have seen 22mpg's a time or two .

Well...Wissler told me the other day he got 54 miles and was about to go to reserve....He is gaining on it I guess....:laughing7:

This will be the place for us to get Kawasaki's attention! I hope we have the best turnout yet!

i have been promoting ZL-OA on AMA Facebook page to also attract attention to our club space.

Hey, so far, I got 54 miles on her before I even stopped and filled up. Got a little freaked out, and I knew the gas station I was passing was the only one for 7 miles! We'll see what I can push her to!
Oh, and I WASN'T going easy either! I was smashing it baby!!

Hey Mark....Maybe that power chamber is gonna make a difference...Maybe those plugs are getting the carbon blown off of them. I only ran one tank of gas thru it since I put it on (and the new cam chain tensioner)...I hope it gets better for ya....it would give me peace of mind that I at least did something to improve the MPG....

Hey Everyone,
I am pretty close into talking a buddy of mine to come with me the VMD this year. I know there seems to be a specific area that you all are going to be camping in. I think Hellion said he reserved an extra space (#141 I think) I guess my question is if 2 guys from Wisconsin showed up with a tent would there be somewhere for us to set it up?? I can get a site if my own, I am just not sure where a good one would be? or if it would even be close to you guys.... I obviously would pay or chip in for the cost of the site if we could work something out. We have the bikes on a smaller trailer nothing huge just enough for a couple bikes. Let me know what you all think!!!

You can call the campground and request a spot next to the zl owners. I think that would be best if you plan on coming for sure, that way we still have room for last minute guys

Ok, Called the campground and reserved Site #139 which is right by Cabin #3 I was told..... So,I am planning on coming down. It should be a good time and I can't wait to meet some of you guys!! Does everyone bring their own grills and stuff? Or is there something that I could bring along to help out the group??

Let me know!!!
Scotty B

in the past, only a few of us stayed at campground. this year will be the first, for so many ZL-OA members at campground. should be alot of fun. we normally eat at track, & or eat at resturants. coolers for drinks, & snacks are always welcome.
