If you guys are as fun as you are helpful,It will be memorable I'm sure!!!
As far as the track,We'll see how things go. I have never raced the bike on a track before....

Do we know for sure how many from the site are coming???

i stopped by chris house today and we started talking about the vmd from the past ones to this up and comer. he's already planning and prepping for the event that's just around the corner.:headbang:

I've been preppin for this since May! LOL:icon_twisted:
Especially since I am riding the whole way there and back no back up!:???: :help:

Hey, For those of you that have stayed at the campground before,Do they have a decent place to shower? Or do we just bring a garden hose to wash off with????

Is the area at the campground wide open or is it fairly shady?? I could bring a 10x20 tent that has sides that zip on/off if someone doesn't already have that covered.... I wasn't sure how much room there was at the campground to set up something like that.

Is it worth hauling it 10 hours or don't you think we would need it???

the campground has showers. i've see nicer ones, but for all practical uses, they work. the campground has alot of well shaded area's

That 10x20 might come in handy at the club space or the campground. If it isn't too much to bring then I would bring it! We usually have a good day of rain

Cool, I'm glad I asked about the tent. I'll bring it along and set it up wherever we need some shade.

I do have a quick question.....How much work/how long would it take to install a new clutch in a ZL900? I am pretty sure I am in need of replacing it and have NEVER done it before (I have not done it in the 10 years I have had it...) I don't want to take up a bunch of peoples time, but if is not that big of a deal I would love to understand how to do it!! What do you guys think? If it's possible,I would want to get the parts ordered right away....

What do you guys think??

do not worry, the trailer & tools will be there. in the past we have worked on a few bikes at same time. bring your parts & we'll help you out. last year we worked on a few zl's in trailer over the weekend, & a few wrenched on bikes outside trailer. there will be enough people to lend a helping hand.

Hey! That looks like me on the ground next to Paul, behind that sweet lookin silver 1K, getting a lesson on cooling and then they taught me how to synch my carbs! Gotta love these guys! :headbang:

I would think that 10x20 would be nice at the club space....

I know it is hard to picture but what the club space is, is a roped off area that we occupy. All along the row there are club spaces. Our space is usually about 50' wide by 200-250' deep (my guess). Several members will have trailers on the space towards the rear. Wuputt usually brings a 10x10 and sets it up. last year Nitroshot also brought a 10x10 out. We try to keep the coolers in the shade and people can sit under the tents out of the sun. The 10x20 would be a nice addition to have seating, etc...Last year Bacchus brought a lot of goodies from the ZL store and had them set up on display. I would also say that any and all lawn chairs that can be brought will be nice too....

It's no biggie to put in a new clutch, but if you get your parts early, you might want to open them up and get them started soaking in oil - that's usually recommended for new plates. Might want to bring some oil too, just in case - normally, very little is lost doing this, but better safe than sorry. Also don't forget a gasket - just in case. Just some things to think about. Later.

Yes he is right -- soak it in oil during the drive out and you will be fine!

Ok guys.... Can someone tell me what is the best clutch kit to buy?? I looked for the link with the Concours parts but couldn't find anything.... I think mine is just getting pretty tired and seems to not engage properly all the time. I need to get it ordered right away if I want to make sure it's here before we leave. I will get a gasket and some oil. Do you soak all the discs in oil? Sorry for the questions, but I have never done any clutch work....

Let me know what you think, and if I need anything else besides clutch kit,oil and a gasket..........Oh,and BEER!!!!

Yea that looks good scotty. Check the tech section for the clutch leaf spring upgrade, I just put it in there

Will also need a tool to hold the clutch basket. I can borrow one from gremlin if Chris or no one else will have one out there.

Thanks Mark,
I'll get one of the kits ordered tomorrow morning and the following....
Bolt: 92015-1929
Springs x 2: 39130-1071
Clutch Cover Gasket: 11061-1154

Let me know about the tool for the clutch basket. If you can't come up with something you'll have to let me know what I am going to need.

So, What's the benefit of the Clutch leaf spring upgrade??

I know I can get the tool. I'll grab it next time I'm over there.

Benefit? 2 is better than 1 :laughing7:
