Thanks for the kind words and the PM's that have been sent guys and gals........am sure gonna' miss not being there this year! I'm gonna' be trying to reserve #3 cabin in a couple of weeks and if it's still open, I'll get it for next year and be there then. As for the parts this year, I'm sure you'll manage somehow.:goodluck:

Looks like me and Scotty B (illby1) will be rolling into town around lunch time on thursday. I know Furchin and Chris will be there when we arrive. I think we are shooting for the camground first to get settled and then head to the track to set a few things up over there.

You are exactly right Matt. See what Putt says about it when he gets there cause he used to live in the area and if there's a substitute campsite to be had, he'll know about it. Ya'll have a good time........I'll be thinking of all I'll be missing.

I am thinking I am bad luck weather wise..... In 2011 when I made my first trip it was like 150 degrees and humid as heII... This year is shaping up to be about the same, was it good weather last year when I didn't go???

WillyD is correct, we should be there around mid day sometime, I am bringing that 10 x 20 tent again for some shade and my Welcome banner that I had made for the club space.

Lots to do yet before we leave, and I'll be stopping in Milwaukee to pick up shirts from Wissler for people that are attending VMD. Everyone drive/ride safe and keep your fingers crossed the weather stays decent!!

The closest hotel with a decent price is in Ashland. I will be coming with my wife and 1 year old. We discussed pitching a tent on the camp grounds but my son has earned his nick name "Grumpy Bear" for a reason... :)

Haven't decided how many days we will be there yet, but we will get in Friday night sometime. Coming from South Bend, IN. What time I get there depends on what time I can sneak out of work. Will definitely be there all day Saturday. Sunday depends on my son.

I am thinking it will be closer to 1pm at the latest 'till I get there, hopefully a little earlier. As you stated Bill, we will meet at the campground first this year and then go to the track and set up the club space.

:hello: Guys, I am in Hubbard OH just West of the PA boarder off of I 80. My bike has an electrical issue. I have the tank off of it & I am in the process of trouble shooting it. Hope I can figure it out. The rear brake light switch was shorted out to the frame. After straightening one of the switches posts everything was fine. Now when applying either brake it blows the brake light fuse. Also my battery is discharging. So tomorrow I will dig into the wiring harness. I checked for 12 VDC to chassie GND. It is good. Checked for a short to each wire to GND. Disconnected the short wire that runs to the rear brake light switch & the front brake still blows the fuse. So I will continue at 6:30 AM. I will be out in the garage. If anyone can point me to something quickly call my cell phone 386-837-7793. I do not want to have to work on my ZL at VMD. This bites because ever since I got my parts powder coated I have had to over come several electrical issues. I worked for 4 straight days on the other problems. I am wore out from driving 20 hrs. I have only slept 6 hrs in 2 days & I am about to go off the deep end or dump 30 rds of 7.62 into my ZL. :laughing7: Does any one have a wiring harness that is not bu-chard up.

:hello: Found my problem. The brown & blue wire in the main wiring harness is shorted together but it is somewhere under the wrapping. Going to open it up & repair it. Hope to meet up with Furchin tomorrow morning at @ 10:30 AM. at Truck World in Hubbard OH off of I 80. Looking forward to meeting all who attends VMD.

There is a 3-pin connector to the tail light.
Disconnecting this may help you isolate the short.
You may have to remove the lower fender to access it, or it may be accessible thru the holes in the upper fender (under the seat).

Just puttin this out there before I load up...is there any specific tools or anything anyone may need while there? I may pull my tank and tops of carbs to adjust my needles and do a carb sync. So I will have the stuff to do that stuff...wasn't sure if anyone was looking to do any specific work on a bike or not....

Well, I won't make my final decision until Friday morning, but at this point, I'm looking at 80/20 with 80 being "not going". I'm just in too daggum' much pain downstairs and I've been off work most of this week. Unless I have a medical miracle in the next 36 hours, chances are I won't be attending. Dammit. :twisted:

R. J. , 10:30 am is an estimate on my arrival time to exit 234 truck world. Just look for a black dodge 1500 pulling a black v-nose enclosed trailer with Kawasaki Eliminator on the sides of it. Oh, I do have your cell number.

All loaded up with the bikes and gear. Have to put bag of clothes in the truck and in the morning pack the coolers with some Lager for Wuputt. I'm sure you are looking forward to that Jeff. Planing on leaving around 7 AM. Going to the campground first to set up then to the track and set up the club space. See ya all tomorrow or Friday.
