I've had a voltmeter installed for some time on my ZL1000. Up until now, I couldn't read it unless I leaned forward - the handlebar clamp was in the way (pic 1).

I bought some 900 clamps, but the square corners didn't mate well with the 1000 uprights (pic 2).

Bought a 1000 clamp and cut out the center part (pic 3).

Now I can see it! (pic 4). A new look for the dash area too.

I dig stuff like this, you come up with an idea it doesn't work you go back a step work out a new solution. Must of been a few hours of cutting, filing and polishing there that end result looks factory fitted, nice work Kawboy.

Nice Job Bro !!!! Looks Great !!!!! Chris

maybe you could have just cut the lip from the front of the clamp, that way you could see it and not lose the over all look of it...

Still looks good ok though, well done.

Believe it or not I thought of that AFTER I was done :-)
That would have been easier, huh?
I'm happy with the outcome, though.
