I'm going to be inspecting mine during the build. Probably rebuild it while it's off and it is great to know the parts are available.

:hello: Guys awhile back I bought this external bearing puller off of E-bay $12 shipped. I used it on the last 3 water pumps that I rebuilt. It's just the right size for going around the shafts. It works great. ________________________________________________________________ IMG_2621.jpg IMG_2622.jpg IMG_1629.jpg

RJ, whats the size of the water pump shaft? :?:

 Do you think this will work to help with pressing the bearing off the shaft? Actually all dimensions can be altered...

So then, I can reduce the slot to say 1/2" and it should work; for pressing the bearing off the shaft.

:hello: Here is the dead blow & sledge hammer that I use when doing water pumps. They are the heaviest that I own. Again I rarely use these. A press is still my choice for pressing the shaft out of the housing. When using a press you will not damage any components & it is much safer. IMG_2627.jpg

If you could post pictures of your progress, some, if not all of us, would appreciate it greatly.

R.J., I edited the water pump part # to show the correct one. The seal # I changed to question marks and can be changed again once the correct # is known.

Thank's Martin. I do remember getting the water pump oil seal part # from another thread but when I did a search I could not find it. Hopefully someone will chime in with the OEM part #. I think Markus knows the part #. Thank's again.

:hello: I received the 2 OEM mechanical ceramic coolant/water seals (part # 49063-1055) in the mail today. Cost $16.58 each. See pics for all dimensions.IMG_4079.JPG IMG_4080.JPG IMG_4074.JPG IMG_4075.JPG IMG_4076.JPG IMG_4077.JPG IMG_4078.JPG All measurements are in MM. In pic # 7 this dimension may very because of spring tension. So in pic 3 it being 32 MM O. D. lip to lip must mean the older water pumps use the 35 MM O. D.

:hello: Kaw OEM mechanical ceramic water/coolant seals part # 49063-1055 $16.58 each. They are the 32 MM. I have 2 pumps that need the 35 MM. Another member found the 35 MM at a good price. Does anyone know who it was. I thought just maybe that I would be able to take the seal from the 32 MM cup & put it in the 35 MM cup but it was a no go. _________________________________________________IMG_4145.JPG IMG_4146.JPG

:laughing7: Some time ago someone asked the O D of the water pump shaft. It is 12 MM & the O A L is 72 MM. The 72 MM measurement is with the white ceramic seal seated into the propeller. _________________________________________________________________________IMG_4147.JPG IMG_4148.JPG

:hello: UPS delivered my KAW OEM parts today. Still waiting on a few other carb parts. The 2 mechanical seals that I got are a no go on the 35mm one that is used in most of our water pumps. The left one in pic is part # 49063-1056 is a 29 mm O D lip to lip & the white seal I D is 12 mm $14.58 Top middle in pic is a 32 mm one part #49063-1057 with no white seal $32.16. Don't get this one. Bottom mid is the 35 mm one used. Still can't find it. Right one $14.58 in pic part # 49063-1055 is the 32 mm one with white seal I D of 14 mm. Get this one. So the search continues for the OEM 35 mm. Again does anyone know of the person who found an aftermarket 35 mm mechanical ceramic seal. I think he got it for around $10 from AMAZON. I did look on Amazon with no luck, except for one 35 mm that states the 35 mm measurement is I D. ____________________________________________IMG_4215.JPG
