My ZL1000 is a custom Gold. But not for long. I'm going to try to repaint it in the factory blue. Just waiting to find some original or bolt on lookalike mufflers.
 
Yep ... my ZL1000 is the Aussie factory colour .. called "Cosmic Galaxy Blue" so I'm told .. my daily rider is factory finish, my "spare" bike is a close copy of the original blue .. and then I have a spare repainted black tank as well, (to go with a black rear fender and side covers).
 
Blue smoke over black (looks nice with chrome & polished alloy). I'll post some pics soon!
 
I have two each '85 & '87 factory reds with not even a hint of fading on any of them. They're all in my albums if 'ya wanna' look. Mark
