ZL1000's kick ZL900's Ass !!

Sorry Bacchus, just my opinion. ZL900 is 900, add 33% to get Mr Max's 1200


Case in point....Zl900 has more power per c.c. than the vmax and the zl1000! I've owned all the quickest kawi's. They always have made the most HP per cc than any other manufaturer. Even my first 1969 A1 350 avenger twin had an 8 hp lead on the suzuki rebel and even a 3 hp advantage over the later yamaha rd350! Needless to say, the 69 h1 500 had 60 bhp. It beat all the bikes for the next 3 years....until the H2 750 appeared! Kawasaki's are the power kings, period!
 
Another thing to consider when lookin at the new 1700 cc vmax's 198 h.p. Yes it is wicked fast with its engine, short gearing, wheelbase and shaftdrive. But Kawi's zx14 makes almost the same HP with only 1352 cc's. Again more power per CC. Can you imagine if they made a larger in line engine cradled to a long wheelbase, shaftdrive cruiser??? Can you say 2010 ZL1600 Eliminator, boys & girls?? I would cry with joy if they did it! They NEED to do it!!!!

Hey Prostreet, I've been saying the same thing about a new Eliminator myself... If they build it, I WILL BUY!!! There you have it, two orders for an all new 2010 Eliminator already! Let's get Dale to give Kawasaki a call with a wish-order and see what they say about it. Heck, with the Gen II Vmax and Zukes new B-King out, I'm really surprised that Kawi hasn't at least put out a survey to see if there was any interest in bringing back the Old Ninja in Drag!!!
I recently sold my 2006 ZX14 and let me say, that bike rocked!!! Drop a 14 motor in an updated ZL frame and it would be insane, to say the least.

Trust me it wont break, I ran my ZL1000 fourteen times in one night. Yours will be just fine ! They didnt make the ZL's out of tin foil and paper !

I guess the 900's are all about looking agressive. You guys like to look all fast but when it comes down doing anything with it ........

I gotta few things to do to the 900 and I would love to go run it at the track...I have been workin on my launches a little on both bikes...I'm not gonna say which one is quicker...it is hard to tell...Sometimes I feel the 1K is and I have days like yesterday where I run the 900 hard and start to wonder...They definitely have a little different power band between the two...

My 1K feels smooth as silk and it feels like it would be tamer, but when I grab a full handfull of throttle it breaks loose...I swear it feels like at the top of second gear the back tire starts to break loose...Yesterday on the 9, I was breakin the rear tire loose alot (not rev and dump clutch, just twist)...One time it threw me back and felt like the front was gonna come up...1K is bone stock and the 900 is bone stock except it might have an advancer....The 900 feels like it wants me to just kick it's a$$ so it can kick back....1K feels like a sunday cruise untill you look at the speedo...

man...I dunno....rippin both down the track will prove to me which one is quicker and faster...

Yep....41....I really wanna get there this season...I have never been down the strip and I am not claiming to be any kind of a dragracer, but I know I love acceleration....

Thats not a zl1000 anymore its a zl1035 been tinkered with.
When I ran my 900 with the big bore kit and stroker crank I was running low 10's! Seems sad to me that with 1035cc's he can only get my internally stock 9 by 2 tenths. Go figure?
