1/8 mile is even better... that's whare these zl's flat kick asss!! the second half is whare those pesky crotch rockets get to play catch up. If they havn't got the second half to save 'em, there isnt much that will be able to keep up with ya!

i still say, the advantage we have, unlike the others is, that our bikes are extremely intimidating with looks & sound, that is where most of the races start & end with eliminators. i have had several people back down from racing me, from just hearing Eleanor, & when i twist the throttle, & they hear her singing, its over before the race is even set up ! :D CHRIS
 
i had to laugh ! my sisters ex-boyfriend has a zx14 & wants to race everyone. my sister told him to come see me. i fired Eleanor up, & he backed down ! little does he know, he would have definately won, but he has never seen a eliminator before, & did'nt know what cc's i had, vs. him.

thats where the intimidation factor comes in, not too many people have ever seen these awesome bikes !! i say, HA HA HA !! CHRIS :cool10:
 
keep the race as short as possible and ya might get him, any driver error on his part will result in his loss.
 
I keep meaning to take a video of the bike and post it on here so you can all hear my custom exhausts.
 
There is a saying that's older then I am that says " there is no replacement for displacement". But it took the V-Max an extra 33% displacement to beat the ZL by a very marginal amount. I'll take the looks of the ZL anyday over that butt-ugly abomination!

fixer--vmax is a 1200 cc bike zl is 1000cc that is a twenty percent difference !!

acp.... video please !!! when you get some video, start a new thread dedicated to "sounds of the zl" we have the dale walker holeshots represented, if you get the thread started maybe we can get more guys to upload. sounds like a good thread..pun intended
 
Sorry Bacchus, just my opinion. ZL900 is 900, add 33% to get Mr Max's 1200
 
By the way... it is my undrstanding that zl9 is about the same in the 1/8 mile as the vmax.

give me a few months and Ill verify this...

I know from playing around stop light to stop light that I can get the jump on all most any spot bike on my ZL900 . and when I'm on my Z1000 I have to be careful when I hit the throttle to fast she likes to put that front wheel in the air.
 
Bacchus, whether we have proven that our ZL1k's are faster or not, that is one fine looking ride!
I like the knee guards on her!
