Big ZL Supertrapps on eBay

OK, who bought them? I thought about it, but didn't see any discs in them. The seller eventually sent a reply and said there were 7 in each side, and they looked a bit rashed up on the ends. Still, you don't see them very often, I thought long and hard about getting them but decided against it. So, speak up, who got them??? Would like to know the condition when you get them!

I knew someone would be wanting to know who got them

I have been searching for these on eBay for 3 years! Someone here called these the "Holy Grail" of ZL exhaust systems. I have about 10 saved searches for supertrapps! These don't come very often, 2 of the last 3 pairs that I have seen on eBay went to 2 other members here, and they got a deal! The other most recent was a $225 pair from Volvopaul on eBay that were for the ninja 900 that he passed off for a Eliminator, yea maybe they fit but they aren't no where near as nice looking. They lack the polished mid section and the tapered ends.

I had to pay for these, what I would consider fair market value. I'll be ****ed if I was gonna watch the auction play out and chance losing them to the BIN. I talked to the seller on the phone and they will need some metal finishing towards the ends and around the foot pegs. He said it didn't look like rash, just poor handling and care for them over the years. They have 7 discs each and the open "competition only" style end caps.

Future reference for anyone reading this thread...I paid $300 + shipping. I will update this thread with the condition when I get them.

Glad you gottem' Mark, which bike are they going on??? The ones on my ZL1000 have 13 discs per side, I bet you those are going to be LOUD!!!!

Definetly for the ZL9 Swap bike.

They are loud! Gremlin has these with the competition caps so i'm very familiar with them. I will probably get the closed caps and another 12 pack of discs. BTW are Eliminator trapps 4"?

Will the aluminum caps fit on my trapps?? I'm guessing yeah, and for $17 who wouldn't get em right?

You'll like 'em Mark. The scuffs on the ends don't look bad, should clean up nicely. The last picture looks like it's out-of-round, may be just the angle.

The aluminum end caps do look nice, not sure how they'll look on the darker finish of the s/s pipes.

Glad you got them mark! The pics dont look bad, my ends are a little bit like that two.

the diffuser disc is 4" summit part number sup-404-6512 for a twelve pack and if you plan on re-packing the baffles sup-400-4020 .

You may consider the deflector plate also, will help keep carbon off the final drive!
