Case Guards, Anyone?

:hello:Since Im not really sure what it is by looking at that picture, I'd Like to see an actual photo of the case guard not just the logo art design as a drawing, jpeg easily transfer over to cnc design...are we talking complete fabrication/weld of case guard, modification on the face side (cover, etc) or actual design/mold itself? redesign of or modifications to fit or other? I know there are many different types of case guards for motorcycles ...:hello:

I will not be making any more of these at this time, If things change I will Notify You.

Thanks, Steve.

Hey Steve, Just throwing this out there..........I will buy and fund a complete run of your case guards so you're not out of pocket any $$$ on these. I'd like to keep these around for the membership and I've sold all of the sets from you I had in reserve so I'll be happy to step up and fund a run of them if you want to make them again. :notworthy:

DO you have any pics. of them. I am very interested in a set. I have a set of GL 1500 rear crash bars on my ZL 1000. They bolted right up, but they are a little wide. I have a pic. of them on my album. Thanks R. J.

Was looking at zlMark's case guards in his pics. Is there a bar running under the bottom of the radiator shrouds connecting the 2 outer case bar guards together. Does anyone have a close up of them. The ones I used from a GL 1500 just bolt to the 2 motor mounts on each side. With out a bar across holding the 2 together they have give to them when I put my feet on the high way pegs. From what I see of ZL Marks they look really good. What time frame do you think the production run will be done. I would not be able to get a set until the first of January. Thanks R. J.

You need to re-read post #119.........he said he will not be making anymore at this time!

I have a bit of news concerning these guards for the members that may be interested. Steve will not be making anymore of these case guards for the membership. If he wants to come on here and explain why, that's his perrogative but I won't go into it. I've been in contact with him and since he's not going to use his jig he made for the manufacture of these, I'm going to get it from him and have some more made. I haven't settled on a fab shop yet but I will be persuing this in the coming months and I need to gauge the interest there is in having a decent run of them made so post up if you'd want to get in on this. Those that will not follow through in placing orders need not apply! They would be constructed with the same materials that Steve used on the ones he made so if you have a question about that, refer to his description at the start of this thread.

i would love to chat with you about the jig bro. I have a miller millermatic mig welder at the house, would need to find out what the jig does and dont do before committing but i might could do these, let me know

I would be in for a set for one of the bikes. Just let me know. Could prepay if needed.

Thanks for the offer Donnie but I want to be more in involved in the process than that arrangement would allow me to be. Unless someone has one of the past 'un-finished' sets still laying around that I sold them, I'll have to remove one of mine off of one of my ZL1000's for the fabricator to pattern off of. Mine are finished in powder-coat and I really don't want to re-do them due to shipping them around and getting them messed up. I'm supposed to get the jig @ the middle of next month so post up if you'll want at least one of them or like I did, buy multiple sets. The ones' Steve made were high quality and very strong......that's what I'll be shooting for as well.

Marcus, I am in for at least 2 sets! Will gladly pay in advance!

Will you build some fork braces to for the crew, make it a package deal ill buy set,
I have contacted Greg Couch about doing another run of fork braces for us and waiting for him to get back to me. If anyone has a better way of getting a hold of him let me know. Mark

Yes, that is Steve (Gazl900), the one I'm getting the jig from and reproducing his design with his permission.
