Hi anyone/everyone,

Just new here & this, my 1st post. Still working out navigation on this forum, so please excuse any delays to interact.

Question 1. Is there a particular model I should be searching for, so as to find a set of either engine/crash bars for my ZL1000?

Question 2. Would like to bling my radiator shroud OR grill with some chrome, is there a model that will suit the ZL1000 fittings?

Question 3. Also, is there either a bracket or bar that would work well on the ZL1000 forks, to mount pair 4" spotlights?

Hope this works!

No need to delete that 1 year........you are correct, I am going to have some more of these made in the next couple of months. Stay tuned.........

1st reply attempt. Thanks! Engine bars look great & suit this bike nicely & I love how they look in chrome.
I certainly appreciate your welcoming reply & am hoping to find some soon already done although I might end up needing to get some from you yet.
Kind Regards,
Gart

did you ever find an engine guard for your zl1000 ? i need one too

I never found a good welding shop that I felt comfortable enough with taking on this project. Haven't spent much time on this lately but I haven't given up yet either.

:hello: Markus: I know of a very good fabricator who is an excellent welder. If you like post up pics of the jig & the bear meddle case cards. I could see if he would be interested in doing them or give us a quote. Here are some pics of his specialty work. 20150918_122918.jpg 20150918_122923.jpg 20150918_123422.jpg 20150918_122937.jpg 20150918_122937.jpg These pics are of the welds Casey done on some sliders that he fabricated for my Son's 1997 Toyota Tacoma a few years ago. I'll post pics of the bumper & the sliders that are on the truck that Casey done when my Son comes home from work.

Thanks for the option R.J., we may very well look into that. The jig and crash bars both are pretty heavy and would be expensive to ship though.

:hello: Ya I sort of figured that. To bad you are in KY. Here are some pics of my sons sliders & front bumper. Check out them welds. IMG_4386.JPG IMG_4387.JPG IMG_4388.JPG IMG_4389.JPG I think the sliders was $350 & the bumper was $275.

:hello: I picked up my ZL 9/10 OEM case/crash guards from Powderkote Plus this afternoon. Ron D. was going to put them in the trash :banghead: so I got them for free along with a dozen other ZL parts that was also in the trash.. The chrome was in nice condition but I wanted them in gloss black. Kyle gave me a Bike Week Special on doing them in gloss black. FREE!!! :clapping: They would of been $45. Perfect header pipes that Ron D. had was trashed.. OH I did manage to save one. :clapping: It would sicken you all if you knew what he threw out. :wtf::angryfire:.. :banghead:. I'm looking for #4 head pipe, mine has some light rash.

No biggie, been running it like that since I've owned it. Patina I guess you could call it.

Those are nice looking OEM crash bars R.J. They belong on your bike and will look better than what you've had on there.

:hello: Thank's Markus. :notworthy:. You can't beat FREE!! :clapping:. Now I need to buy different highway pegs. Doe's anyone know of good quality highway pegs. They need to be adustable because of them not being at 90*.
