Yes that may be the case , that would bent the clamp at the mounting point and push the muffler against the shock in one big WHACK!


Only other way this can happen is improper install and not doing a final check on the work before riding.

If so, I would like to thank DW for the advice and input he has provided to up prior. Particularly the rotella oil recomendation. I have switched since then and have been 100% happy with this change.

we all have an eliminator, some have more than one, but none of us have ever had 11 or more operating at the strip at one time. that kind of "fleet" experience with this bike is extreemly valuable to us!

Your very welcome, just try to keep questions short so when I can get back here i can go through them all please.

Next oil change try adding the X1-R product, also go to full synthetic Mobile One 75w-90 gear oil in the rear end with 1 oz of X1-R also.

Please go to my web site or the X1-R web site to read about it, I dont want to be or sound a snake oil salesman.

Ive been using it my motors for over 12 years, it works

You guys put a track day together, buy my plane ticket to and from and I will do a fun school day free of charge for 6 to 10 guys

I like to give back now and then


Did you happen to see the M/C test recently on the new V Max

I think i spanked them pretty good for as old slow guy

I did want to take a moment and thank you dale for the info and advice you gave me way back in the day. It helped me a lot both with the bike and on the track.

I'll have to call a couple local tracks and see what the deal is. That would be even better than VMD!

Hey Dale, I'm a new zl900 owner. My name is Ian and this is my new bike.

It's got a maxi products mx3 exhaust and individual k&n's. I think these are the only mods. I know it hasn't been jetted. I want this bike to run tip top and pull hard. I'm capable of the work myself. I'm asking what I should do from here for jetting and I've been reading about an advancer? Any help would be greatly appreciated !! I love this bike !!

Dale Walker is definetly the man to get you headed in the right direction! You might want to call him for a faster response, I imagine he's pretty busy this time of year. You can get his number off the site www.holeshot.com
