Re: Vmd 2013

:hello: I'm in Johnstown PA. I'm off to Cherry Tree PA for my family reunion. Monday I leave for Culpepper VA for 2 days then I'll make that last leg to FL. It was great meeting everyone. I'll try to make it back to VMD in 2015.

Re: Vmd 2013

Well, looks like another successful VMD is in the books now. It sounds like Ya'll had plenty of fun inspite of the weather this year. Really puts a damper on things you're able to do when the weather turns bad. I was really disappointed that I didn't get to go this year and missed not being there and seeing everybody but I'm certainly planning for next year. I didn't see anybody mention making the trek to pay respects to ZLMark so I'm assuming that didn't happen like was discussed. I'm sure the weather didn't cooperate for that either. Seems to be a pattern for VMD weekends the last three years with $hitty weather! I miss kickin' it with my friends and hate that I also missed seeing Carla, Stephanie and their families being down for the event. Thanks for posting the pics guys.........I believe I can put all the new faces to names and it's great seeing all the 'old dogs' as well.

Re: Vmd 2013

VMD PICS!!!! Before phone went dead!!!

The laws of trespass have been around for about as long as the idea of private property. Along with the criminal statutes of the states in which they are located, some federal lands have their own trespassing laws. While these laws apply only to federal lands, they can be used in any state or territory where such lands are located, and generally supersede the state trespass provisions. National Forests: The National Parks Service oversees national parks and forest lands set aside for use by the public. Though these lands are specifically operated so the public has access to them, they are not open to the public at all times. Anyone who sets foot on national forest lands when they are closed to the public can be charged with trespass. The penalties for this include fines and imprisonment for up to six months. Military Property: Federal law also criminalizes trespassing on military or Coast Guard property. According to 18 U.S.C. 1382, anyone who trespasses on military property within the jurisdiction of the United States can be charged with criminal trespass and may face fines and incarceration for up to six months. Further, anyone who is removed from such property and ordered not to return, and who subsequently does return, can be charged with the same crime. Indian Reservations: Anyone who knowingly enters a dwelling on Indian land without having permission or authority to do so can be charged with criminal trespass. If the offense is committed at night, the crime is a misdemeanor; otherwise the crime is considered a petty misdemeanor. Further, if a person enters Indian lands after being given notice that trespassing is prohibited by either direct communication, the presence of fencing or posted signs of notices, they commit trespass. If the person refuses an order to leave that is personally communicated, the crime is a petty offense; otherwise the crime is a violation. Possession vs. Ownership: Trespassing law protects the right to possession, not ownership. That is why your tenant can sue you for trespassing if you enter land owned by you but rented to her. Of course, you may have a defense to such a claim. As a landlord, you have the right to inspect the property and conduct repairs as long as you provide your tenant with advance notice and as long as these rights are spelled out in the lease agreement. Absolute Liability: Trespassing liability is absolute, meaning that you can be sued for trespassing even if your trespassing was unintentional. For example, if you relied on faulty maps provided by the city government to build a structure on land that you erroneously thought was yours, you can be held liable for trespassing, although in this case you may have a claim against the city government for providing faulty maps.

Ok, not the greatest video, but here's what little I captured with my regular camera - we had people walking in front of us and getting in the way so I chopped and spliced stuff together. Later. /QUOTE]
