VMD this year is July 19 - 21.

I'm tentatively planning to go, mainly to meet the board members from here.

I just made reservations for myself at the Super 8. They still have a few rooms available. They are probably the cheapest priced in the area, even with the doubling of their normal rates.

So if you're thinking about going and want to stay indoors, as opposed to camping, you may wish to make reservations real soon. Doesn't have to be at the Super 8, there are other places around, but they are starting to get booked.

I figured I would make reservations now and if I can't make it I could always cancel that reservation later.

i'll be there if everything works out on my end schedule wise, but i will be staying at campground.

2013 I'M THERE!...My band has a "running" gig on that weekend for my towns local festival days. I told them last year that I would not be able to do it in 2013. I've got much more important things to do this year! Looking forward to meeting all of you and getting some maintanance done.:headbang:

VMD is going to be a tough one for me this year again. Shawn is getting married in September and all my spare cash will be going towards that event! I hear rumors at work though, my machine is going to run 24/7 through the year so that means a LOT of OT for me and very few race/ride days! we shall see......

Yup, that's the one where I made a reservation.

I've done my share of camping before, now I like comfort :)

Plus while reading the past VMD posts here, there were two things that stood out:

1. HOT! It was very hot.
2. Rain.

Well, as I get older I've grown fonder of Air Conditioning and sleeping dry :)

I am going to try my best to be there. I have family from VA to MICH. So I will schedule my trip around those dates. I figured I will be doing about a 3000 mi. round trip. I need to settle up with some one for trip-en on me for riding my bike all the time. I hope it is not hot. The heat sickens me. R. J.

Camp Grounds: Can someone post information like phone # & address. Also time to reserve a site. Is it possible for all of us to camp in same location. R. J.

I've had the same cabin reserved since last years' event. The same people that were in it last year have first dibs this year so you and your wife are covered Bill if that's what you wanna' do. Since it's y'all, you can have the big bed in the front room! :thumbsup:

Here is a link for the Campground. I can't get to the official Campground website, I'm at work, and with the restrictions here it won't work.

It's a toss up as to when you can get ahold of someone for a reservation.... They answer the phone when they are good and ready too!!! :laughing7:

It's a nice place, and gives a nice little ride before getting to the racetrack.

This year it's the same weekend as the National 8-Ball tournament in Las Vegas that I usually go play in, but I am NOT missing VMD this year!!!! I am excited to get back there to see all you guys!! I'll bring the big tent again, but I'm leaving the HEAT at home this time!!!!

I plan on being there this year. May only be one day again, but the ride is worth it.Would love to do the whole weekend, but I have to go to my daughter's graduation form the Army in March....it's gonna cost about a grand or more for airfare, lodging, car and food....for two days. Love it....plus I have a trip to Florida planned the week after that with my son. Is it just me or do the rich get richer and the poor have kids?

You need to calm down MadMan. Ya goan to pee your self. So can you drag race at this VDM. I have never drag raced a street bike. Can you teach me. I am always a fried that da bike will come over on me. What are the rules & what kind of gear is required. I road again just now. It is now 66* out here in Sunny Deltona FL. Temp is to drop into the 40s tonight. It is going to be in the 70s this weekend, perfect riding weather. My wife & I are going to ride to Mt Dora her favorite place. It is full of windy twisty some what hilly roads. Ya goana miss it, Na,Na,Na,Na!!!!!! How is that for some SMACK. Just tried out my soft sided saddle bags I bought from Cycle Gear for $50. They fit nicely. Will need them for my wife to stuff them full.
