I'm in Waukegan. And I'll be leaving Friday. So I guess I can jump unto the caravan that's coming through my way....

How do I bring anything if I'm on my bike?

Sorry to say, we will be leaving Thursday morning.... There may be others leaving Friday that you could tag along with though. As far as carrying things on the bike, good luck. A back pack or duffle bag strapped to the seat is all I have ever managed. Good luck, ride safe!!! See you in a couple weeks!!

I am in Ohio right now without my bike as I am here visiting family with my Ma. family. Going back home tomorrow. I will be back in Ohio during VMD and plan to attend. Not sure I want to ride the Eliminator the 600-700 miles. My old bones may not be able to take it, especially my knees. Need to think about this. Wish I still had my truck.

As in past years, I'm leaving out early Thursday morning and will be at Mid-Ohio @ noonish.......staying through Sunday. Looking forward to seeing my old friends again and having a great time!

Here's a list of some parts that I have that I can bring if anyone needs them.

1000 and 900 frame, no titles
1000 and 900 handlebars
one set of 900 fork tubes, and one set of 1000 fork tubes. I'm not sure which is which, and don't know if there was a diference.
Valve cover
1000 swing arm
A set of head pipes with the power chamber
radiator and fan

I have some other small stuff too. Ask, and I may have it.

Looks like I'm not makin it this year. Plans changed. My traveling partners cancelled on me and I was going to trailer the bike with a few others. Maybe my buddy will borrow me his truck, but it's a Dodge diesel with manual transmission and the clutch is "really" heavy. We'll see.

Hopefully, I will be mailing out shirts "mid-week" so everyone has them by next week.

When can you leave? I am riding by myself this year and am stopping to get WillyD on the way again. I think you said you had to work Thursday or something??? The trailer I was going to bring is only really big enough for 1 bike, but I might be able to get ahold of something different..... The biggest issue was that I was going to leave EARLY Thursday morning. So, if you would like to ride with me, that's cool!! Let me know as soon as you can so I can look for a different trailer if I need to.

I will be leaving Friday morning...Puts me there early afternoon...Looking forward to meeting all of you and especially some group rides!:thumbsup: I've been very anxious this past year waiting for July!

Well, I just got some bad news myself. This past weekend, I was finishing up our move, lifting some heavy furniture, and "tweaked" something in my groin area. Went to the doctor yesterday and they "suspect" I have a hernia! I need to go see a surgeon but they can't get me in until July 30th! I'm in pain right now, the kinda pain I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy, coming directly from the nutsack! OUCH!!!!!! I can't ride right now, but they gave me some meds, so hopefully it will calm down by VMD. But if I can't ride, I probably won't be attending! Will post an update next week!!!!

2010 I pulled my trailer with two bikes and attended, cooking there the whole weekend...On sunday I drove to the track and then walked the almost 1 mile thru the gravel and watched the guys race....then walked back that distance to the car to leave...it was probably 90 degees...oh yeah and I did it all on crutches with healing from wrecking my 1K....I couldn't ride for a few months and not at VMD but I went anyway...:headbang:

:hello: Guys, I have my bike ready & it is running like a top. So I am 98% sure I am going. I will be heading to Culpepper VA Mon. the 15 th. I'll be pulling out @ 5:00 AM. I'll be in Hubbard OH Tues. night. I think it is @ 1 hr. from Mid OH. I'll be meeting up with Furchin Thu morning off of I 80. Everyone keep there fingers crossed. I have not been on the road in 7 years. Looking forward to meeting all who attend.

:hello: That blows. 40% chance of rain for the weekend. Here in FL it has been in the low 90s & sunny for the past 10 days. When it does rain in FL it goes through so quickly that an hour after it is done raining it looks like it did not. Most of our rain only lasts an hour or two at a time. We can work in some fun almost everyday.

Just the opposite here in the midwest - we get an hour or two of sunny weather - the rest of the time is stinks - hahaha. Later.
