how bout color???

I was thinking blacked out but Elimax demands full chrome package.... what say you??

I agree those down tubes do look a little skinny on the inside diameter, that could use a little beefing up !

also agree..those stock cans are sexxxy arnt they !!

hay lads dont forget the 600's

1 : 4 into 2
2 : better growl
3 : stock look

that will do me fine

apparently so i belive acp mentioned it at some time.

Quadzilla Dual Slash Cut

mind just took another look and the above would look the dogs

mark what is wrong with the frame down tubes? how did they fix on zrx??
They use a wider frame at the top allowing the pipes to come straight out and down

why do the pc brackets need to be removed? would that require cutting them off the frame??
Gives you 1 1/4" or so extra room to get the pipes up into the muffflers while keeping them forward to fill the foot peg holder

maybe the group shold consider slip on option in order to meet the price point.. post up on this guys. full system or slip on at a better price..???
I'm all for that

For Reference:
Full Muzzy stainless w/aluminum can 4 into 1 system for the ZRX1200 $739

I would like to see stock reproduction of the head pipes, into X and stock look cans with better flow throughout!

Thats all... :D

I guessing that due to the lack of response to the hp gains question that performance gains are not really what you guys are after, it all about the bling bling with you zl guys isnt it .....lol

The horsepower gains have been addressed, just in disguise. If the weight is dropped, the power chamber removed, the pipe diameter enlarged and the flow improved. The horsepower should increase by default. The lack of restriction alone will allow the new pipes to properly utilize the raw power produced in the power plant, let alone the improved air/fuel flow from the pods and rejetting kits. I have what I want in the holeshots, but if someone can improve on it then I have an interest.

I'm not sure I want the pipe diameter increased as it could lower low end grunt, by removing the PC you are by default increasing the length of the pipe though which may over ride the torque change by lengthing the pipe. Now I've confused myself...I'm gonna continue with my project until it works or turns disasterous. At which time I have learned either way.

That sounds like a good idea. :detective:

wish list:
1. 4-2
2. slash cut ends
3. close to stock in appearance / big fat final pipe
4. improved exhaust tone / growl
5. street / track exhaust pack option or removable baffle, not too damn loud or harsh.
6. mount in stock location, molded with footpeg brackets
7. oil filter accessability
8. looks / sounds badassssss!! more low, end more rumble
9. $500 price point ----probably will cost more IMHO..
10. adequate ground clarance, pipes tucked up neatly under bike
11. part of a system that could produce 100+rwhp
12. larger dia. primarys
13. no 90 degree angles, smooth exhaust flow path
14. Slip on / full exhaust options

how is this looking to you guys??? Have I over looked anything ???
yeah I have .... chrome or black...??? what cha gotta have boys??

Im curious, If an exhaust could be produced that met all of your critera except it did not significantly increase HP would you guys still want it ??

Is it the look and sound that need to be primary considerations here???

look and sound for me.
and black sounds good.
then price but for us brits postage is going to be the killer.

The pro-street slash cut would be my cup of tea.

My requirements for a zl aftermarket exhaust:
  • Accessibilty for oil changes
  • Ground Clearance
  • Close to stock appearance (Must fill the void between the muffler and foot peg bracket like the stock exhaust)
  • Not too noisy ie: D&D Street pack vs Race pack
  • 4 into 1 or 4 into 2 (I prefer 4 into 2 but if there is substantial gains then 4 into 1 is OK)
  • Removable Core

everything sounds great, around $ 500.00 and I only want 4into2 and I would like it to look like the stock set up.
 If he can do that then I will take a set for my ZL900

Has to be chrome, maybe stainless, that would jack the price though.I can see some guys wanting black.A black system should be cheaper too. :detective: Thats my 2 cents worth.

Sorry guys, I am out of the game for wanting this anymore, but no one has mentioned the SuperTrapps!!

Correct me if I am wrong, but wasn't this a piece that everyone liked, as it was a slip on that looked great, eliminated the PC and increased performance?!?!? I know it is not available anymore and Dale unfortunatly no longer has access to the jigs to make them, but someone has to have something available to copy something similar, maybe even fill the void of the peg support better??

I will have the availability to one side as a copy, if it is needed, but it needs to be guaranteed to me it will not get damaged!!!

Also, if you can be picky in any way, make it easier to put the bike up on a lift!!

Good luck everyone!
