French drain the spring water that was trenched 20' from the back of the house should take care of the damp. Pics are just the start of the process, I can see now that I need to go back and get a better slope on it. If I need to add another next to the foundation, so be it, digging is much easier nowadays. I have a 5gal jug of UGL drylock pro for the back and side wall, man that stuff is spensive. My helper mentioned the lighting too. Door lead times are out there supposedly due to the TX freeze affecting the insulation plants.

That's my go to ladder for indoor work, it's way lighter than my little giant and I'm building a patina on it so someday an interior decorator will want to buy it for $200:roflmao:
 
:hello: Here in FL no need for a french drain. The top 20 feet of ground is 100% sand. It can rain for a week. 10 minutes after it stops you never knew it rained at all unless your a bone head and built your house in a swamp. I sold a 1900s 8 foot long bow saw for $180 to some 90 year old lady. She told me it was just like the one her hubby had. :laughing7:.

:hello: I picked up my will call this past Monday from Lowes. I choose a Wayne Dalton R 6 insulated 8 ft wide 7 ft tall garage door. $550. Its double walled along with heavy duty hardware. The shed Company wanted $1500 to install a roll up door. I did't want one of those. This past Sunday I framed out the opening for the garage door. I'm using R 19 insulation for the sheds ceiling and walls. In order to use R 19 I need to widen the 2"x 4" studs so I ripped 2"x 4" in half. I've only been working on the shed from 6:30 AM to 11:30 because it's like an oven in it. I tried the A/C but it only brought the temp down to 100*. :hello: Today I installed 2 & 5/8" Furring strips on all the sheds studs. I ripped 2"x 4"x 92" boards in half. It saved me about $90 or so. When I started this morning at 6:30 AM it was 70*. By 2 PM it was 108* in the shed. When I finished working at 7 PM it was 86* in the shed. I used 3 1/2" decking screws to install the furring strips. I use screws because it is much easier than swinging a hammer. Plus if a board needs removed it is much easier than pulling out nails. Also if I used nails I might miss hitting a nail and poke a hole in the sheds siding. :hello: Today I worked on the shed from 7 AM to 6 PM. Today It was only 84* and very windy. The temp in the shed was only 86*. I installed 2 & 5/8" furring strips on the trusses. Again I ripped 2"x 4"x 92" boards in half. Lumber went up again. :pain10:. 10 2 x 4s cost me $86. I installed the hurricane straps on the top of studs as to were they meet the trusses. Home Depot has 2x2x8' that I bought a stack of to use for making bulkheads.
 
:hello: Today I spent about 10 hours in the shed. I installed the breaker box, all the wiring for all the lights, switches, hoist, ceiling fan and for the garage door opener. I also put four 2"x 8"x 14" extra support boards on the two trusses for the electric hoist. :hello: I spent the last 5 days 6 hours a day installing the R 19 insulation in my shed. It took longer because I had to run the insulation sideways for the most part. The R 19 is for 16" on center studs and not 24" on center studding/trusses. The garage door that I got from Lowes will not work for my shed. The ceiling doesn't have enough head space for the runners and the springs. I need a foot of head space. Hate to tell you this now but they do sell 24" wide batts.

The door can most likely be set up with a low clearance track and traditional extension springs. The net shows 4 3/4" min above the door. Torsion springs need about a foot. You definitely need low clearance track kit tho
 
You going to put in some plastic paneling or some drywall to finish the walls?
 
Billion dollar shed! My cheap azz would go for any paneling that's under $20/sheet

$53/sheet if you buy today, maybe more if you wait :wtf::puke:

:hello: My shed only has 2 1/2" of clearance on each side above the door way for a garage door. I'm now going with a 7'x 7' garage door. I really don't want a roll up garage door because they have no R value. I've been running the A/C in the shed. By noon the A/C never shuts down until the sun sets because the East wall has no insulation in it. The exterior by 2 PM is at 130*.

:hello: I decided not to put a garage door at the West end of my new shed. I couldn't find a 7'x 7' door for a good price. All the garage door Companies wanted $1300 to $1600 to install a 7'x 7' aluminum insulated garage door. I called 5 Companies in all. Also if I did go with a garage door it would take up about 20% of my storage space away for shelving. Today I ran speaker wire for my 1976 vintage stero system. I paid $600 for it in the Summer of 1976. I ran the speaker wire for the stero about a foot up from the floor. I installed hurricane clips on all the studs at the bottom for all four walls. I also cut and hung 1/2" OSB on the East and West walls. It's been in the 90s for the past 4 days. The window A/C that I bought runs way to long. I'm hoping that it does a better job once all the insulation is done and the OSB is hung on the ceiling and walls. :hello: Today I spent about 5 hours with the sheds electrical sub box. Ran all 12 12 gauge wires and one 8 gauge wire into the box. Installed the 8 foot x 1/2" O.D. grounding rod and the earth grounding wire for the rod. Installed 2 buss grounding bars on the right side of the box. Tied in all the copper grounds to the buss bars and all the white neutral wires to their buss bar. 20210601_084941[1].jpg

:hello: Today I dug around the sheds 6 hurricane anchors and poured 150 pounds of concrete in each hole. 18 50 pound bags of concrete cost about $70. Time spent 6 hrs. The new shed came with the 6 hurricane anchors. In Florida's sandy soil they are useless because you can pull them right out of the ground but they are required by Florida's hurricane building codes. What a joke. It's been 90 + degrees outside with 90% humidity. :hello: Today my Son Jonathan and I put up the OSB on the inside North and South walls. I cut the OSB from around all the 120 VAC 20 AMP outlets. Also I installed a 120 volt GFI outlet on the outside South wall and 3 40 watt LED porch lights on the South, East and West outside walls.
