Letter to Kawasaki

yay someone finally agrees with me! tbh i would really like it if we just got the same bike in production again. ofcourse better suspension and brakes, updated 900 engine, but essentially the same bike. i would love that. so it wont be as powerful as the v-max, i dont care, i just want the good old classic eliminator look and feel.

Trust me guyz I have been doing "mock-ups" on my Connie for awhile now and the frame is all wrong...no where for a gas tank so far....among other things, it really is "tall".

Mach....it may not be to far out of line to consider a "custom" shop or something like it, and start producing a prototype "ZL". Past couple of years now I did alot of speculation Home building, thru the dice daily on about $250k so the idea of investing in a bike "Company"...starts to sound like a viable idea to me. Seems like you may have the 900/1200 ironed out...so that becomes the first run, Hell look at Boss Hoss...this is exactly how they started.
We are currently doing a job for America's Motorsports here in Nashville. The Owner has leased a newer bigger building and wants to be in operation by early spring....they did VERY well this last Summer with the Motocycle craze phenomenon that happened. He belives it will happen again this Spring and those that are ready for it will benefit greatly. Kbug and I had been considering approching him as a place for investment already and now with this thread building in momentum.....
Well Mach, what would you think of producing these yourself??? I had made the joke to you earlier in the year...but now....
3 yrs ago K and I had gone over the idea of a Jet Ski rental deal on the nearby Lake. I met with a guy from Sea Doo who was willing to sell us 10 SPX's for $2100 each if we bought the quantity, and would through in "support". We never went thru with the idea but did learn thet the Manufacturer will cut deals on quantity purchases.....Maybe a handfull of motors.....we build the frames?? Doesnt Suzuki buy just certain parts from Kawi, rebadge then put the stuff on their bikes?
I dont think we may need Mama Kaw to make the "next" ZL, if we think it through properly.

I like that idea, custom made ZL1400's. Thats Speed Channel material.

As for a new 900, I'd love that, but does Kaw even have an updated I4 900 motor that could be used?

Agreed , but I don't see kawasaki taking a back seat to anyone when it comes to performance! They have the guns...now lets see what they can do!!

yep i understand, if its gonna be coming out as a new muscle bike from kawa people will expect it to compete with the likes of the v-max.

So....now what? Letter writing time? Did we settle our minds....a remake of the ZL900, and a fresh newly designed ZL1400 ElimiBeast? Screw Mama Kaw and do it ourselves?

Mach as Engineer, Zot as CFO, Chris runs the shop....anyone else could be salesmen and R&D dept. ....wait I want to be the test rider instead.

lemme design it! and screw mama kaw, lets face it they aint really gonna bring the zl back.

Reality, The ZRX is still in production but not offered in the USA. I would think they would have more demand for the rex than our ZL
