New Tools

:hello: My Simpson pressure washer is rated at 4000 PSI and the Ryobi surface cleaner states up to 4200 PSI. So it should work.

I bought a 4 nozzle bar years ago, waste of money!

IMG_1609.jpeg No new tools , just building a new place to put the ones I already have. We moved to Missouri last winter and have been working on this lately.

Pretty close, 32x40. Have I mentioned how much I hate contractors?

:hello: Yes I do because I ened up putting up my 500 feet of fence. I done it for a third of what these so called professional fence builders wanted. For details you can find my fence build in the Remodeling Thread.

Very nice toolbox!
I'm well on my way to getting one built for myself. My Amish contractor is building my shed off site then the ram dually will be dropping it on its resting spot. Very cool trailer if you haven't seen a shed trailer. 14x24 smartside with a gambrel metal roof, 8x8 roll door on the end, man door and 2 shed windows on the long wall, 12" floor joist spacing, 3/4" plywood floor and a 4' loft shelf across the back.

4x6 frame for the limestone bed that I'm filling and compacting. Hoping for instant gratification and dry weather mid December. No more messing with the roll bar on the BX. The 24x24 garage is planned to have its door facing the gravel driveway with the back corner around where the backhoe is sitting and the other corner in front of the well (grey milk crate), as soon as I can save up the dough...

I find one thing very funny. Almost everyone I know that got a tractor that doesn’t fit into thier garage without lowering the ROPS or roll bar first all said the same thing when they first got it. “No big deal” but after some time everyone of them including myself has done one of three things, modified the door, the roll bar or built a second garage/shed.

And now my level pad patiently waits as I go through my basement and garage making lists of what will fill the new shed.

Your looking @ $700 of timber/stone/tamper rental, things add up fast.

:hello:I bought a new CURT aluminum trailer hitch ball mount for a two inch receiver. It's rated for 8,000 pounds. It has a two inch drop or it can be insstalled upside down which gives it a one inch rise. It was $50 shipped for AMAZON. The lockable hitch pin ($26) and the 2 inch ball ($16) I got from LOWES. I have about four of the steel hitch ball mounts but they rust way too soon. Then they rust the inside of the trucks receiver. 20231215_081323[1].jpg 20231215_081542[1].jpg 20231215_081559[1].jpg 20231215_171229[1].jpg 20231215_143157[1].jpg 20231215_143146[1].jpg 20231215_143209[1].jpg

Pitfalls of a tall ceiling, hiking that ladder a couple of hundred times

Coming along nicely, look at it this way, people have built things like that without having a drywall lift.

:hello: Looks really good. When we done our two additions on our house and my work shop we didn't use a drywall lift. Mostly because I had alot of help from guys that were 6' 4" +.

Making progress

Your new building looks great!
My "instant gratification" delayed by weather the last couple of weeks. They only like Saturdays for delivering the 14' wide. I doubt this weekend will be the week since rain is forecast Wed - Fri and getting it up the hill may get dicey. I clear with my trusty backpack blower, I love my Husqvarna 570BTS.

I was able to find a crew to come in and mud and tape it. They will texture it on Monday and then it's all back to me. Electric is supposed to be pulled in on Tuesday. Hopefully I'm on the downhill side and can start using it.
