:hello: I bought a new DEWALT 5 inch orbit sander a few weeks ago. $125. It can be hooked up to a shop vac. Awhile back I bought a Rockwell Muti-tool and a dremel 3 inch muli-saw. Also a KLEIN key hole drill set which I've had for 25 years or so. It came from Lockheed Martin. :laughing7:. Retirement tool sort of. :laughing7:. I've drilled threw wood, plastic, medel. drywall, cement board, plexiglass, aluminum, fiberglass and concrete block. It's bitchen. IMG_8075.JPG IMG_8074.JPG IMG_8076.JPG IMG_8077.JPG

:hello: I bought a new 1 1/4 " key hole bit kit for drilling through ceramic tile from LOWES. Price $20. How you use it is set the blue cup on what is being drilled using a double sided tape ring. Then fill the cup with water. Next drill the hole. It works great. IMG_8175.JPG IMG_8174.JPG IMG_8176.JPG IMG_8177.JPG IMG_8178.JPG IMG_8179.JPG IMG_8180.JPG IMG_8181.JPG

:hello: Yesterday I bought a CRAFTSMAN 3/4 inch drive SAE socket set at a yard sale for $80. For that price I had to buy it. :laughing7:. Range is 7/8" to 2 3/8"IMG_8375.JPG

That's an expensive set. Great score!
For the biggins I have this gearwrench 1/2" set going to 1 1/2". I scored it on the cheap used. The 3/4 is worn pretty good but I have a Craftsman set up to 1 1/8".

Hit these up for $20 at home Depot on black Friday. Probably will be put in my grab and go tool bin since I've got a couple of different bigger sets in my garage box. IMG_20191214_130143.jpg

:hello: I put 2 new treads on my 1986 Sears Craftsman ATV/bike floor jack this morning. I made them from an old truck floor mat. I used 16 1/4 - 20 x 1" stainless steel button screws with self locking SS nuts. This was the first thing I bought when we moved into our new house in November 1986. With me being a ASA Master Tec for 30 +years I have over $80,000 in tools, Mostly Snap On , Mac, Matco, cornwell...not including the tool box....very is to spend the $$ But I only bought the best.....NO CRAPMAN in my box....

More than likely your tool truck owners (they are independent reps) knew exactly when your payday was and stopped in to visit ya for the previous months wrench payments too.

I understand quality tools are valuable to the professional wrench but the 325 piece Craftsman set I bought with my first pay from my first real job 35 years ago mostly still work great and saved me from paying professional mechanics tens of thousands of dollars...:) just saying that they have their place and are welcome in my toolbox.

:hello: I have 2 rolling Craftsman tool boxes full of tools which most are Craftsman. I got both for free with tools. One when G. E. sold (1994) us out to Lockheed Martin and the other when I left Lockheed in 2006.

Pyrex, found for a few bucks at a second hand store... straight to the workshop. Fork oil came to mind but have used it mixing 2 stroke oil/gas for the saws and blower.

Probably, I try to put it away once I'm done with it so it doesn't get busted.

Sorry no pics but I just got and mounted my new dtm tool post and bit holders for my lathe yesterday. Had the 4 way turret post for too long, got tired of shimming the cutting tools.

:hello: I bought a new set of Auto Body tools. $60 shipped. Someone borrowed my old ones :pain10: which where SNAPON. $100 25 years ago. :pain10:. IMG_8532.JPG IMG_8533.JPG
