After a cool down period and letting the initial sting of it all subside, I called the campground and reserved # 141 camping space. If memory serves me correctly, I believe that was the space that Paulfun reserved when he came. Paul, it wasn't the same without you last year and sure hope you'll show this year. Between furchins', Illbys' and my spaces, I'm sure we can accomadate anyone that wants to camp. Sure as hell wanted to give someone else my business after being screwed like that but this is short notice to find something else so I bit my tongue and got the space. Wuputt knows that area like the back of his hand so maybe he can point us to another campground for next year. I'd love top give someone else the clubs' business after the way these people have acted through it all. I'm still not a happy camper but I won't let it keep me from my friends and the fun we have that weekend! :rr:

Markus, I checked last night and sure enough, I have a nice big tent, sleeps 5-8 so that should be comfortable for 3 or 4 of us! I will leave Friday morning and be up there mid day, looking forward to a great time! :headbang:

Still intending to come but will have to ride which I have done many times before but on a bike with a 5.5 gal tank. I am getting about 38-40 miles per gal on the ZL 900 and with a 2.9 gal tank will need to stop many times. 632 miles to my parents house. Lost my truck when my 99 Silverado got totaled by an uninsured motorist from NH. They don't have to have insurance.

OK, I'm all done crying about it ! my hopes of showing up with 2 of my babies have fizzled down to not even being able to go.hope everyone has a great and safe time being there and getting there.if any of you coming past my way is interested i'm a 15 min.drive from I-94 and HWY 50 in southeast WI. pm me I'll give you my home ph.# have bike hoist and decent tool collection 35 years in field auto/bike/snowmobile,shouldn't be much we can't tackle between us.:thumbsup:that is if anyone were to have car or bike troubles.

Back in January of this year I reserved a room at the Super 8 hotel in Mansfield, Oh., I've never been to a VMD and have been looking forward to going. Unfortunately for me, my wife needed to have some surgery recently, surgery that was unexpected and uncovered by the insurance company; as a result, the cost was all out of pocket. Because of this expense, I won't be attending this year's VMD.

All this is to say, I won't be using my reservation at the Super 8 hotel in Mansfield. Before I call them to cancel my reservation, I wanted to make it known here first in case someone else would be interested in taking this reservation, which is from July 19 - 21.

If you want this reservation before I cancel, let me know and I'll call the Super 8 and see if they can transfer it over to you. This has to be on a first come/first serve basis. The room I reserved has two beds, so you can get someone else to help split the cost. The cost for the room is 129.00 + tax for Fri. and Sat., and 69.99 for Sun. Total cost for the three days is 370.63.

Let me know ASAP, in this thread so everyone can see who responded first, if you want the room, as I don't have much time left before I have to cancel my reservation or be liable for the cost.

:hello: Parts that I will be in the market for at VMD is a ZL 1000 horn cover & back rest. I really do not need the pad. Also the Kawasaki cover that goes over the brake line split-er. Thanks.

I hope you find one of those extrs tall backrests RJ. I haven't seen one of those in 25 years...if I had one I would give it to ya...:goodluck:

:hello: The tall one would be nice, My wife would love that, but I just want the stock one. The oxie moron that owned my bike for some stupid reason took a die grinder to it when he mounted the license plate to it. The more I tear into this bike the more things I have to correct. I had the powder coater clean it up & make it look better before he coated it.

:hello: I am leaving Monday the 15 th. I will be spending the night in Gulper Va. I will be in Hubbard OH. Tue Night. which is on the Pa boarder just off of I 80. Who ever is coming from PA I can caravan to DMV with them on what ever day they want. There is a truck stop just off of I 80 were I can meet them. I'll post the address at a later date.

Austin and I will be there, would like to get up there Thursday night and get situated, if not, first thing Friday morning. I'll bring plenty of hotdogs and buns for Friday, just like last year, I saw Willy was bringing a grill, I'll have mine as well at the campsite if needed.

Bill, You are correct!!! I plan on leaving early morning Thursday to get through Chicago before morning rush hour. So, I guess I'd be in your neck of the woods fairly early Thursday.... Not 100% sure what time yet?? I'll give you a call or text you to figure out the specifics. I know you said something about having a tent that you had available. I can bring the 10x20 tent I brought in 2011 unless you are planning on bringing the one you have. I took the bike out for a 45 mile trip this morning and everything seems to be running great!! Got a lot of stuff to get ready before I leave.... It's coming quick!!!
