Water pump rebuilding service.

I had ZERO problems posting pics, less than half a second

:hello: I just tried up loading four pics one at a time with no luck. MARKUS: I sent your three water pumps by USPS. I insured them for $400. You should see them this coming Monday. Tracking # 9536 1158 5261 3195 1272-79. Thanks.

Thanks R.J., I'll be looking forward to getting them. In case members don't know, these water pumps for these bikes can no longer be had through the dealer new. I encourage everybody that plans to have these around to get some old pumps rebuilt and have put back. R.J. does a good job and I doubt you could beat his price. I've got some on the shelf now and will do more if he'll keep buying parts and doing them.

:hello: MARKUS: Your VOYAGER water pump uses the 32 mm ceramic mechanical seal. OEM part # 49063-1055. I used my last two 35 mm seals for your pumps. The ceramic discs in the 35 mm seals kit are too big so I had to rob two from the 32 mm kits. By doing this it costs me $15 more to do 1 pump that takes the 35 mm kits. I still need to find the correct 35 mm seal kit. I'm pretty much out of parts and I know most likely the parts went up 40% like everything else. I made a list of parts that I need so some time soon I'll have an idea how much parts have gone up. I got 1 pic to load of MARKUS pumps. 20230714_130205[2].jpg

I don't need that many done but I could do two more on my end. As I said, I think you're gonna' have more demand in the future than you did in the past because they are now made of unobtanium. I guess we could start a new thread to gauge interest in doing more pumps.

Tons more Connie's than ZL's. To make it worth it you would probably have to be on fleabay and cater to the wider market.

:hello: I thought of doing that but at this time I'm not up to it. I have about 10 or so ZL pumps in stock that need rebuilt. Some of them was given to me and others I bought from EBAY. The ones from EBAY was all $40 or less shipped. What I was going to do was rebuild them so that members can have a faster turn around time.

Yeah, that's a pretty sizable investment to make and I know how that usually goes. I'll be following to see what's decided and act accordingly. I did get my three pumps in from you yesterday R.J. Thank you very much!

:hello: While I have 11 spare pumps in all that need rebuilt. I'm not sure when I'll be ordering rebuild kits. I still need to find the correct 35 mm ceramic seal. I think it would be best to take all the pumps apart to make sure that all the shafts are all good. I have a few apart now that are not part of the 11 that I have and 2 of the shafts are wore out at the inner bearing next to the ceramic mechanical seal. That bearing has always been bad in every pump that I have ever rebuilt. The pump in these pics was for a non-member in IN. The problem with me not being able to up load pics was on my end. Our upload speed was operating at only 8%. When our cable guy was here he dropped a new line from the pole to the house and the line from outside the house to our com center in the house. He also replaced our modem inside our com center. If anyone wants any pumps done that is not in a bike you can send them to me now that way I can know how many kits to order. That is if you are not in a hurry for them. I'll keep track of all who sends me pumps on this thread and or through PMs. ______________________________________________________________________________ 20230726_111358[1].jpg 20230726_131747[1].jpg 20230726_131921[1].jpg 20230726_131903[1].jpg 20230713_090840[1].jpg 20230712_131124[1].jpg

:hello: I found most of my spare water pumps. Some of them came from EBAY ($50 each) and some (free) from members. I've contacted a few manufacturers about the ceramic mechanical seals. I'm still waiting to here back from them. After I find the correct ceramic seal and get these pumps done I'm going to put them on EBAY. We just don't have enough active members on ZL-0a for me to keep my Pump Service going. I found a better price for the pump bearings. $10 each from 123bearing. ____________________________________________________________ 20230730_115732[1].jpg 20230730_120328[1].jpg 20230730_115208[1].jpg 20230730_193743[1].jpg 20230730_122424[1].jpg 20230730_193814[1].jpg 20230730_113756[1].jpg 20230731_102511[1].jpg

:hello: I'm going to send an old ceramic mechanical seal along with a used water pump to K & L SUPPLY Co. to see if they can match up the seal. The REP told me that they have 9 different JAPAN made seals they stock for motorcycle water pumps. Today I was able to rebuild 3 more water pumps. 20230801_084748[1].jpg 20230801_085828[1].jpg 20230801_092832[1].jpg 20230801_093149[1].jpg 20230801_101000[1].jpg 20230801_102134[1].jpg 20230801_101203[1].jpg 20230801_104917[1].jpg 20230801_104941[1].jpg

:hello: I have 2 pumps left. $180 each. I have 7 cores but no 35 mm ceramic mechanical seals. If you want a cover it would be $20 extra. Shipping is $16. I still need to find a vender that stocks 35 mm seals or who can get them. I'm going to order OEM water pump parts from PARTSZILLA next month. 20230802_154431[1].jpg 20230802_154648[1].jpg
