CARB CLEANING SERVICE ,ultrasonic cleaning

I can garantee 1 thing for the 2hr shop charge you are not getting quality or attention to detail. I spent almost 4hr doing a set of webber side draft dcoe carbs this past weekend and they are a much simpler carb set up.

Remember also when it comes to a good performing carb the attention detail and not being slapped together is very important.
 
It is possible that the quality might not be there, but it might be at the same time. It seemed to me that he was more quoting for billable hours rather than how long it might actually take. He is also very used to working with these bikes as the guy who had my motor before me was a client for 15 years and always brought him the bike. It helps that when I sit down and talk to him he seems pretty knowledgable about the bikes he works on. He did mention that they would get the full clean as well as a complete carb rebuild kit (bought one since they have sat for 3 years) and then he would bench synch them for me. LOL no mention of a fresh coat of paint though....would still like to touch that up someday.
 
Has anyone had their carbs done by Rick? I am VERY interested in getting them done by him, cause I don't have the time and patience I used to and haven't fiddled with bike carbs in years.
Let me know, cause I am gonna call him tomorrow.

I am very pleased with ricks work, the carbs I got from him perform flawlessly so far about 400 miles on since installing them.
 
only taking carbs till the end of this week ..4/25 ..taking the month of may off ..got to get some things done around here ..
 
Paulfun isn't the only one who is pleased with his work. I have read more than a few comments about the quality of the work he does, all of them good.
 
i am taking about 3 weeks off(5/5-5/21) ,tony's zl1000 carbs are the last i am going to do for a while ..i am going on a bike trip next week
 
Have you stopped booking orders for when you get back as well? Is it best that I just wait until sometime in June to drop you a line?
 
Rick did my carbs too...I installed them and once the gas got from the tank to the carbs, it was start up and go...No problems from start to idle to 100 mph (so far, ran out of road)...

Super job...Nice new fasteners, gaskets and "O" rings...painted a nice crisp black...

I would not hesitate for one second to recommend him...AAAAAA+++++

Just putting in my two cents......... He's an absolute pleasure to work with and is second to none in expertise and workmanship!!!!! I've had him do three sets for me since spring with three more to come in the very near future. He is the ZL carb Guru for sure but I just put on a set he did for a GS750 and they too have performed as well or better than a brand new set. No one will ever touch another set of carbs for me as long as He'll do them for me. He Is The Man!!!!!
 
markus, you aught to get a discount for that statement! I too, have heard nothing but good reviews!
 
I have had the carbs done on both my zl900 and my zl1000. if you need your carbs serviced this is definatley the way to go.
