Today on my new shed I degreased the compressors pump and sand blasted it. Then took it apart to replace a few leaking gaskets. I replaced all the hardware with stainless steel. Also I made an extension for the oil drain and the drain on the bottom. Time spent about 6 hours.

Today on the new shed for the compressor I mounted the electric motor and pump. Installed a new pressure check relief valve which goes in the top center of the tank and a new 1/4 inch air line that goes from the relief valve to the SQUARE D 240 VAC switch. Installed the new V belt. I also drained the pumps oil and cleaned the site window. A lot of guys think their compressor pump or electric motor goes bad but 90% of the time it's the pressure check relief valve that goes in the top center of the tank. It's a $25 fix and about a two hour job. _______________________________

Today on the new shed I wet sanded (1200 grit paper) and buffed the compressor's air tank. It had a lot of over spray and orange peel. When I painted the air tank I used WALMAT ($1.50 a can) fast drying enamel. Time spent about 5 hours. _________________________________

For the past 3 weeks I painted the new sheds ceiling & walls. I stated with a coat of KILLS 2 then a coat of BONDING PRIMER. Finished the ceiling in flat white. I done the walls in BATTEL SHIP GRAY. It took 3 coats. The OSB which I call SOB soaks up paint like a sponge. Yesterday I tied the compressors madifold systems drains into a single drain. It will run threw the floor as well as the compressors drain. I also cut & primed the base board, window and door trim. I sanded all the crud off the floor and added 3 inch exterior screws. 30% of the floors nails missed the mark.

This past Sunday for my new Bike Shop/Shed I laid the 12" x 24" vinyl tile commercial grade flooring made by ARMSTRONG. It's glue down style. It was free. So was the spray glue. My friend Wayne works for a Company that does remods on Walgreens Stores. He gets all kinds of building supplies that is left over form jobs. Today I cut the hole in the east wall of the compressor rooms closet for the two vents and installed the outside vent. This is close to what I got. Today for my work shop/shed I installed the compressors inside vent, some base board and wired up the compressor.

Today I finished the rest of the trim and base board. I had to put ten hose clamps ($26) on the compressors six manifold drains. They was leaking water. I also bought 3 floor mats from LOWES. $160. I tested the compressor. I found no leaks in the lines. Compressor room is really quite.

Looks like a laboratory! Way too nice for anything but a recliner R.J. Whats left to do?

I should stop now.. I want to put tile on the shelves as what is on the floor because the OSB holds a lot of dirt. I still have some outside caulking and paint touch up to do on the inside. Then load it up with tools, spare bike parts and four bikes that are down to the frames.

Very nice RJ. You probably need a shed for your bikes now that you have a shop.

Today for my new bike shop/shed I put a 4th coat of wax on the floor. Put down shop rugs and rubber work mats. Made two metal plates for under bikes so that the rubber mats don't get tore up. Mounted my gun rack. Bolted three parts tray holders to the wall. Last I put my 1983 Honda CB 650SC Nighthawk on the hoist. It's been collecting dust for the past 12 years or so. Time spent about seven hours. ________________

Newly established garlic patch coming on strong. The size of the garden went from 21x15 to 21x39. I had rolls of concrete reinforcement laying around so a couple of hours wrestling with that and I now have a base fence to add some chicken wire to. It was too sloppy to drag the box blade but I will till it when we dry out for a bit.

Critter list includes deer, raccoon, groundhog and rabbit. Then there is the tomato worms and slugs to contend with.

That reinforcement wire was rusted pretty good and some of it broke off as I unrolled it. Using what is laying around the property.

I bought 100' of 36" high chicken wire for $58 plus $88 for (15) 6.5' posts and used 10. I will keep the others, they are ez to find a use for. Critter deterrent ain't cheap.

Whitetail dear here in FL seem not to get in peoples gardens. I gave up on planting a garden 30 years ago. Seems everything rots before it ripens. Also the bugs don't stop even if you spray for them.

It's getting to be deck season. I've got 2 to put on, front door will be roughly 5x12x3ft high with probably 4' wide stairs. Second on side of the house will be ~6x12x4ft high on 1 end and will step right onto the backyard. A quick Home Depot estimator program showed 4600 for the front alone. I kind of threw up in my mouth a little and didn't price the side deck. I did price the premium Timber Tech PRO reserve in driftwood but went for a pretty standard railing. WOW prices are up there.

Going over some details with a friend who knows way more than I do on these things and making a shopping list. I think I want picture frame the perimeter so the sizes may change a bit. Even if I go cheaper line of product it would only save ~15% because of the small sq footage.

A few weeks ago I tiled all the shelves in my new work/bike shop. Time spent about four hours. I had two boxes of tile left so I said why not do it. . Time to load up my new work shop with all the parts to build my 1972 HONDA CT 70 K1, 1974 HONDA XL 70 K0, 1983 HONDA CB 650 SC Nighthawk and my 1997 SUZUKI DR 200 SC. Now I need to decide which one to do first. I think I'll have all the frames done first.

Front and side entrance decks, timbertech pro reserve decking and aluminum railings. Side is done except for a step needed into the backyard and need to move the window unit to back window. Front needs it's steps and rail to complete it. 6x12 side and 6x16 front. Going to be looking to install some new doors soon and put up some lattice, the domino effect.
